    Hey Gang!

Just wanted to share something I've been ruminating on for a while now, Taking the H.F.T.D. "Hubcap" & making him look more like a streetrod while maintaining his G1 self!

Just a simple  matter of a headswap ( gotta make the back half of his noggin & then ball joint it), some customized 1/144 GUNDAM hands, a HUGE body lift & some new paint.

Originally, I was gonna make a true "classics" sized version If I could've found an oversized K.O. of Hubs here ( anyone know where I could get one if there even IS one for that matter?) using a 1/32 streetrod kit I have for a re-shell but I guess I'm gonna haveta stick with this little guy here otherwise:

Here's the final goal for Hubs' makeover, the '32 ford hiboy "Milner Coupe" from the great old classic movie "American Graffiti":

    Thoughts,opinions, Guiness & pizza always welcome! :D

    Cheers!

    Lol! Good idea! :thumb

thats the head from an original G1 minibot Hubcap, just very carefully popped off the original toy & stuck on with a bit of blue tack to hold it place. :D

G1 Hubcap that you are referring to, as I'm sure you know, is another bumblejumper clone.....

^^ Hubcap is actually a remold of the Cliffjumper (new head and no spoiler) where as Bumper was an entirely different mould.

That is a sweet idea with the head. Look foward to seeing this guy painted up. :thumb

    Thanks a bunch! :D

Ya know, when I first got 'im, that was what I thought too. Then , after a while I got to thinkin, why not just go with who he is an mod 'im that way? So, eventually, waaaaaaaaay on down the road, this is what Im kinda shooting for for his 'Bot mode:

Thanks for the compliment! For a while I was wondering what to make the head from til I remembered my G1 Hubs & test fit his head on the new body! Its very nearly the same size as the head that the figure came with!! YAY!!
