Hey all, i finally got a classics Hound used, and i can't seem to get the chest to snap into place. I've looked under bright lighting and i cannot see any place where a piece could have broken off. it looks very clean, but i cant find any way to get it to click onto the spine. all of the video review seem to have no problem and really don't go into details so i know something has to be wrong. i just cannot see what or where.

    any ideas?

    thanks!

I have one...and it doesn't really peg into place at all on mine. As far as I know it was never designed to. What you see is what you get with the transformation.

If I remember correctly there was some kind of trick to getting that piece to look right but I'll be damned if I can remember what it was. I just put it wherever it looks better when I TF him into bot mode nowadays.

It does. It's just not where Hound's "abdomen" would be. It clicks somewhere around what I would call his armpits.

Yeah. Fold Hound's "spine" back until it touches his dashboard, then fold the chest down all the way. You should hear the click then.

nothing. it's the chest itself that wants to keep raising up and into jeep position. the windshield and dash stay snug against his back. not a HUGE issue. i can still pose him well enough. i was just curious to know if mine was "broke". You just never know with used items.

It's not really a tab. You see the raised bumps right in front of his shoulder hinges? They sort of slip behind some of the raised detailing under his fenders, and click into place.

Just push it down until it clicks. Not much to it.

It does click, but I don't recall any tricks. I just move the arms and wheels out and fold it down. Boom, solid.

On a completely unrelated note, man, the smoke grey paint Takara used to darken Hound's bumper sucks ass. When I pulled him out to examine the mechanism, I found that the dark gunmetal colouring was all peeling off.

Thank god the chrome itself is undamaged.
