This is a mod I have been thinking about for a while... ever since I first showed a friend of mine a pic of Armada Optimus, and he (unimpressed) snickered "Ha! They've made Prime into a tow-truck!" It was then that I realised, he does look a bit like a tow truck... which suggests other possibilities for that mold...

I'm only lacking for a few bits (a G1 Hoist head would be nice), and enough faith in a particular brand of paint. I just hate the idea paint rubbing off when you transform it... I'd like my bashes to still be toys you can handle too... but I digress...

Anyway, the vehicle mode requires a little more imagination. I just digibashed the G1 Hoist sideboard and towing assembly in, but more likely I would just have to find some little Tonka tow-truck to cannibalize for the parts to do this.[IMG]

Heh... so in the meantime, this is another one of my kitbash ideas on the agenda. Maybe someday, I'll actually make one. ;)

Not a bad idea - it looks like everyone wants to make a Hoist these days!

    That version would work well.
This is my version with E Rodimus from a few years ago. It was the orange parts that made me think this was a good Hoist and the hand/rocket worked for Hoists welding tip that he used in the cartoon.

My version doesn't have any wings and the tow truck parts just hang off of his back
