    Hey guys!
This is my version of RodimusDawgs oversised Classics Grimlock! Once I saw his posted I absolutely had to have one of my own! Besides my dissapointment in the original, RD's paintjob and all around awesome job just lit a fire under my ass to get one done!
I of course don't want to just copy his so I'm making a few changes. Most obvious is the head. The top half of the head has been built up with styrene for a truer "classics" look. Still more detail to add. I've added the original Classics Grim's rex arms because I felt the smaller arms were more accurate to a real rex. Also added the tail from Classics grimmy. One, it moves (the KO came with a hollow static tail) and two, I thought it looked more like G1 Grimlocks profile having a shorter tail. You wouldn't be able to tell by looking at the pics but I made his feet smaller too. I cut the claws off, recessed them into the feet and shaved then down for a less cartoonish look.
Stay tuned cuz thier's more to come, and thanks Rodimus for the inspiration!

I've been thinking about doing this too, how is the plastic quality on this guy? Does anything need to be reinforced or anything thing like that? Good luck man, gonna be following closely.

The quality of the plastic itself isn't really that bad but all the parts are hollow. RodimusDawg used Transmetals Megatron inner parts to re-inforce the legs and I'm using a SW Ep1 Battle droid model kit for mine. Also the ball joint become loose after a few transformations so those'll be replaced.

Noo. I've wanted a proper Grimlock since I heard about Classics and dammit I'm gonna get one! I never warmed up to that awful G2 color scheme. Some people look back on it and laugh and remenisce about the early nineties but I just cringe. Eww :)  But at least he wasnt yellow with pink tiger stripes and a green head!

I like the "traffic paint/school bus yellow" of the G2 Constructicons, but I may be biased because I have them and actually remember getting at least one of them at K-mart or the PX when I was little. I really like the slightly green yellow of the originals too though. Aaahhh, childhood transformers memories. Anyway, I can already tell this is going to my favorite classics Grimlock custom.

The head and hands looks sweet, nice work, I hear these KOs are kind of poor quality but this looks like a masterpiece!

This looks great. But why the hate for the blue and turquoise Grimlock? I mean, it was one of the few repaints from that line that actually worked. If you want to talk about color schemes that make one cringe, it's G2 Bruticus.

Oooo! I really like the chest mods you did. Very G1ish. Very cool. Now I'm really excited to see what else you are going to do.

Yeah, that's a horrid one. Not neccessaraly hating that Grimmy, just a die hard G1 kinda guy. I guess that version of Grimmy is okay, but I'm faithful to the originals.

It's from KO Toys. I've grabbed a few things from them and for KO's they really ain't that bad.

I love this thus far... I can never see enough Grimlock Kitbashes. This is shaping up to be how Hasbro should have done Grimlock in the first place :thumb

Oh yeah. I hope the mold is destroyed, and the metal used to make proper Grimlock toy.
