That is seriously all types of awesome I want one now lol, now why couldn't Hasbro do this???? I even forward this link to my friend for him to see
lol--thanks, man! I agree, which is one reason I went ahead and did this. The midget tank (as you called it) looks decent and I like it, but it doesn't scream "G1 Galvatron" the way my custom does.
This looks great I especially like how you modded the chest. I always love these Energon to Classics Galvatron customs. I bought the smaller version of his mold to someday do one of these customs. Until then I can just admire everyone else's great work.
Thanks, bro--glad it could inspire you a bit! Looking forward to seeing what you do. Thanks, man! Glad you like it! Thanks! I really dig seeing them all as well--including what you do with yours. Now get to work, man. lol Thanks, man! I don't know if I'd call it "perfect", but I really like what I did and how I did it. It was a lot of fun working on this. I also don't know why I labeled this "FINAL", when I knew I'd go back and do it better at some point (still in the middle of making it much better with some new mods and paint--even thinking of doing more articulation). Thanks again for the support, guys.
WOW.......... This is one of the best Galvatrons I've seen yet. I need to find an Energon Megs so I can try to make one.
Thanks, I appreciate it! lol, thanks! If you like this first version, wait until you see what I've re-done to it.....which should be completed and posted up sometime before 2010, I hope. haha Thanks, bro! I appreciate the kind words. And definitely pick one up and do this (if you plan to use G1 parts on this like I did, you'll have to find the smaller TRU two-pack Energon Megatron--it's pretty much in scale with the Classics voyager figures, just slightly taller). Thanks, man! Thanks Bryce! Glad you like it, bro. I can offer some tips and ideas on what I did and how I did it, but I don't really have any set guideline. When I first did this, I just kept in mind how G1 Galvatron looked, planned out how the alt mode would look (I have quite a few old WIP shots on this where I had used totally different parts before coming down with my final plan to use G1 Galvatron parts), and then planned out the bot mode and how the alt mode parts would work into it. It's still a parts-former due to the wings in bot mode--but that's why I attached it with magnets--it can stay in bot mode or go (which makes it a parts-former, so to speak). But it's the only way I could get a good G1 look to both the bot and alt modes without going even more in-depth on transformation and all. I'm happy with how it turned out though, so if you need some tips on this, hit me up, bro. I can even show you a new WIP shot or two of the new neck mods I've done since completing this--I went back and re-visited this to add better mods and articulated hands, and eventually, a better paint job). Thanks, Daniel! Glad you like it, man. Thanks, Jei! I don't know if I'd call it one of the best, but I'm proud of how it turned out and glad to see everyone diggin' the hard work I put into it. Thanks again, guys--hard to believe this sucker's been up here for almost a year and a half and it's still getting views and support. I really appreciate it. This just makes me want to hurry up and finish the new mods and paint and show off the new and improved Galvatron.
