another oldie done a few months back.the donor fig was a marvel x-over iron man.the only real work done to him besides the paint was altering a beastwars rhinox(very first version)head a bit to look even more jhiaxus like.for the color scheme i tried to match how he was pictured in the old marvel g2 tf comics.the white on him is automotive enamel white base, the green is tamiya acrylic and the gold is plain old testors enamel.the black lines/details are all done with a fine tipped gundam marker.once everything cured for a few days,he was then coated with 2 mist coats of matte clear.

Wow. That totally works. Now all ya need are some ridiculously large chain-guns jutting out of the wings. Then it'd be straight from the comic.

My only complaint is that he has teeth, but that's just an odd dislike of mine in general.

That certainly is no reflection on how cool this piece is. You really did a good job on this guy! :thumb

i found it odd too how in most of the g2 marvel comics almost all of the tf's had teeth or even tounges in some cases.

^ Odd or disturbing that a Cybertronian had a tongue? Yeah I never really cared the G2 comic all that much. This custom on the other hand is worthy of some respect.

It's funny... I never minded the teeth, but anything beyond that was too much. Weird, huh?

In this case, it's a perfect choice, since Jhiaxus had his teeth perpetually clenched as I recall. Nice custom... instantly recognizable, even if the jet mode ends up with some odd colour patterns.

    Nice paint job, btw...

Great use of the Crossover Ironman mold. I also love the quality of the paint. Part of it reminds me of G1 Silverbolt.

I totally dig what you've done for Jhiaxus. I think personally he's totally cool. I think Cybertronian have teeth or tongues (Legion, *shivers* in a good way) gives them personality, imo.

Not a fan of the Crossovers, but this looks 100% times better now.

What a great idea! The character just jumps onto that toy, doesn't it? Great fit! :)

YES! From the moment I saw the Iron Man toy, I knew it was destined for some great Jhiaxus kitbashes.

Excellent paintwork! :thumbs2: The head looks aces, I don't mind the mech-teeth at all. Now that's what I call a grill!
