I'm super impressed too... when I looked at the thumbnail of the head, I figured it was an Alternator or Masterpiece sized headsculpt, but at this scale... WOW! I love the classic styling. My only, minor, petty issue is that, for Sideswipe, he looks really serious... even sour. I've always seen Sideswipe as more of a lovable rogue, a devil-may-care brawler... so maybe a smirk might have suited him more? But I LOVE the helmet shape. Yeah, I'd be interesed in buying one too probably... zmog
I'd buy one if the price was right. Funny thing, I'd get it for a Henkei Red alert--paint it cartoon-style red and be pretty happy with it. Of course, I need to get a decently-priced Henkei Red alert...
Hey all! Thanks sooooo much for all the positive response! I'm honestly blown away that you guys like this little head so much! Ok, some folks have wanted to see Sideswipe with his chest the right way round so I got some new pics today just for ya! Also, in case you all might be interested, heres the original head resculpt pre-molding & casting. The grey stuff is Apoxie Sculpt, The white stuff is styrene bitz & the green stuff that comprises the mouth is McFarlane Toys green sculptor's wax. ~ Enjoy! -BK
It looks kind of weird and unnatural when painted. Not sure what could have caused that as that is some DAMN fine sculpting.
Seriously NICE work, Sideburn Sideswipe needs to have his head replaced with this Badboy noggin. Im in for a total of 4 so I can replace ALL of my custom Diaclone Sideswipe heads as well. Great Job and let me know!!!

This looks great. I'm not a fan of the universe Sideswipe head mold and this is a huge improvement. I would be interested in purchasing one if you do decide on casting it.
Hey Gang! Thanks to everyone soooo much for the continued support & appreciation of this little guy! A bit of bad news tho ( nothing too serious I promise )...the original mold for this head is pretty much FUBAR. Dunno what happened but I tried to cast it a couple of times & the castings came out with bits of the mold stuck in them! Ugh. Oh well, never fear tho...I'm gonna re-mold it with a better setup plus this will also force me to correct some minor flaws with the piece as well...may re-do the mouth a-la the comment by "SMOG" on page 2. I refuse to sell anything to you guys whose quality is less than what I'd settle for! I'm also gonna add some extra details on the face & sideburns so keep tuned for updates in the next couple of days! ~Cheers! -BK
The face looks a little long, like he's sad, but the "helmet" or rest of the head whatever looks great! I like his little ears a lot.
I must say. I got a couple of these a little while ago from mr. budokhan and the sculpting is factory perfect...actually better in some cases. hope you get these going bro. they look great! and finish that wheelie!

So when are you gonna re-shell that countach onto Swipes? I'm dyin to see my noggin on that custom! As we speak, wheelie is back on the bench & under the knife! Got some issues I gotta resolve tho, still tryin to figure out the whole " fold-away " side panels! Got the eyes to lite up but looks like the headlite thing is mebbe gonna be a no-go.
