i see this thing in my dreams.ive been working on this thing for just over a year and a half now off and on until i get frustrated.it stands on its own at 4 feet and 2 inches(50")but when in battle station mode,it stretches to just under 6 and a half feet long.i put it on our bathroom scale and weighed in at 69 pounds so far.its big enough where if i want to transform it i have to move a few pieces of furniture in our living room.its almost to the " cosmetic and nonstructural" point.alot of wiring and electronics gutted from toys bought at valuevillage were sacrificed for the greater cause too.so far cog/gasket/grommet is finished,cerebros/max's head is around 40%done and spike/galen is about 80% finished.for the max's body though, now im stuck.does anyone here know of any kind of robotic hands roughly the size of a ten year old kid?any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

At that size, you're gonna be scratch building 'em for sure. I recommend Struxx, a neat "build it up toy" like Legos, but they are rods with ball joints on the end. They could be the frame work for your fingers and knuckles, adding mass where needed. This would give you fully articulated hands, which would be really cool for this size project! I give full credit to Nemesis Predaking for discovering Struxx and seeing the kitbash potential!:thumbs2:

You sir, are the motherf@┬žking man! I can't even imagine what it would be like to HAVE something that big, let alone build it! I'd have to sell my couch and sit on the floor, but it would be worth it!

I'm liking the scale of this for some reason ;)  Here's a couple of pics of some toy robotic hands similiar to the ones I used on my first Devastator. I had to beef 'em up a little, but they may be perfect for this scale figure if you decide not to scratch-build. I actually still have a couple sets of the ones pictured here and also some others that have posable thumbs that they used to sell at Kaybee Toys, which look better. The fingers are roughly 3" long.
