Well he is finally done. I would like to thank everyone that participated in the suggestion thread. I had an idea of what I wanted to do, but I wanted to hear everyone's opinon of what makes an "evil" Jetfire.

This is probably my favorite custom I have done so far, it was also very labor intensive, not hard, just meticulous, lots of parts to keep track of with all the ratcheting joints, tiny screws, and the flavin.

I threw in some G1 refernces with the circle emblem on the jetpack (I put them on the wings too because I thought it would look cool) and his arm blasters. The missiles I thought were just kinda silly. I was going to paint them purple, but I couldn't make a clear purple that I liked so I instead went for a sawed off shotgun look that was close to his G1 counterpart. I think it makes him look better.

His colors are flat black, Tamiya Neutral Gray, and Tamiya purple, topped off with some dull coat. I was going to make his eyes purple or red, but just decided against it. The test colors I did on the missles changed my mind on that.

Enough of the jibber jabber, here are the pics, hope you like them:

Wow, that's amazing. I love the panel lining and the general worn look that he has.

Beautiful and brilliant! I take back anything I said about using black for his scheme.
That just looks perfect, would love to own one like that. Killer job with the panel lining, looked like a mission, especially those wings.
The sawed off arm cannons look waaayy better like that.

Did you use krylon brand for the grey?

No, I used Tamiya Neutral Gray, AS-7 to be specific.

For anyone else wanting to use this paint, NOTE: Neutral Gray in the bottle is NOT, I repeat, NOT the same color as neutral gray in the can. Found that out the hard way. I will say the stuff in the can has an awesome finish to it, nice dull look to it. The colors in the AS series are meant for military plane models.

The gray on his backpack is more of the vinyl spray from mar-hyde, its their dark gray color.
