This one was meant to be my entry for Sector 70's recent Triple Threat Challenge, but I worked my way into an engineering 'writer's block', I guess you could say, and I ended up starting an Animated Perceptor custom to take a breather until I felt fresh enough to come back to it.

This guy started out as half of an Universe Countdown, with the other major half coming from Animated Ultra Magnus. Other notable parts have come from an over-sized G1 Doubledealer, Beast Wars Tigerhawk, Masterpiece Starscream, Cybertron Sideways, G1 Sky Lynx, Armada Megatron, G1 Doubledealer, Star Wars Crossovers Commander Cody (I think... whatever one the precursor to the AT-AT is), Classics Ravage, Energon Demolishor, G1 Trypticon, random G1 Powermasters and some knock-off Powermasters, and a 1/100 MG RGM kit for the helmet.

    Whew.

Now if only Reprolabels made stickers that changed between Autobot and Decepticon emblems...

Oh, and thanks go out to Boggs6ft7 for the bad ass stickers that I plan to use /someday/, and Zildjian for the casted hands. That I forgot where I stashed. :D

    Enjoy the pictures.

instead of emblem changing symbols you could try something akin to either animated shockwave or cybertron sideways to achieve the faction switching.

I assume you're not familiar with this character at all?

Here's a picture of the original G1 figure from '88, in each of his three modes.

I mentioned Cybertron Sideways in my parts list, and that's exactly why. :D  I forgot to mention Animated Shockwave, but his chest is one my scavenged parts, too. IM READING YOUR MIND XD

Oh, asoblutely. I'm using knock off Powermasters, over-sized Powermasters, original G1 Powermasters, Classics Ravages, and even some of those Lego-looking guys that transform into spheres to build Doubledealer's Grax and Skar. I wanted to use a Ratbat toy, but I haven't found a cheap enough one. :/ Anywho, as always, I aim to be as faithful to the original figure and character that I can be with these builds.

And thanks to everyone for the kind words. I figured I'd get flak for the Bonecrusher-esque feet. I wanted the cab of the vehicle to become the feet of the robot like they do on the original G1 figure, and it worked out pretty well that way.

Great to see that you're continuing this project! :D  If not, your Tigerhawk would've been wasted. :p  Anyway, it's looking awesome, I'm looking forward to the end product. :)

Yeah Boi can't wait to see this finished. Especially after the updated sneak peek you sent a while ago. *Sigh* Wish I could get back to work.

Sick man. Doing Doubledealer out of Countdown has crossed my mind, but I was going to skip all the other modes and just do bot and alt. Kudos to this. Super ambitious and innovative!
