This is a custom which i started in November but have onlyrecently come to get round to painting.

Here is Classics Dirge in all his glory, his upper wings are the fins that used to be at his tail removed and fixed with Green stuff from Games workshop. Paints used are Revel enamal paint numbers 94 and 51.

I didn't see any point in changing Ramjet's grey to black as it worked perfectly well with the colour scheme.

That's nice! I like how your wings came out.

And another custom Dirge joins the ranks. :D

That's better than the Botcon Dirge.

I don't know how he looks against my Thundercracker. i'll have to pick him up when i next go back homeand do a groupshot. shame i can't find another Ramjet, that's all thats stopping me from making thrust.

thanks for the comments guys :D

the thing that struck me about Botcon Dirge from the pics i saw was that his face was too black, and shiney. they would have done better to use a dark grey like i did

I so want another Ramjet (and another Starscream for Thrust)... all these Dirges make me pine. Great job, Storm - love the wing work. How well is the GS holding up? I'd've thought the join would be pretty weak - it's not intended as an adhesive...

well, it's on top of the wing and underneat the wing, i left it to cure for about a week before even reattatching it to the body. it's supporting it rather than sticking it there if you get my drift. with the enamal paint n top it works well and is more solid as the skywarp i got from the twopack. (tail wings broke :( )

He's notreally going to be played with and is just for display and when i make my comic, if it falls it probably would break but it's given a smoother finish than poly cement would have.
