Classics/Energon Devastator was pretty crappy too. I say they both suck!

I've seen reviews on ROTF Devastator - it looked like it would suck big time.
I have Classics Devastator - I think that one sucks cuz it always falls apart on me.

So they both suck, but I will get Supreme Devasator eventually to see if I'm wrong.

    Ebay:
Not buying the new devestator...just can't get there.

And considering the price...I'll stick to classics.
I really hope fansproject does a kit for classic devs..

They both suck. You'd think after 25 years we'd have a combiner with 5 or more limbs that didn't have repaints of 2 of the figures or have any individual robot modes.

I like the classics version. It will be even more badass if we get an upgrade kit for it.

can't give an opinion on Rotf yet cuz I don't own it.

This. I think even G1 Devy is better as a toy than either, but without actually having or seeing in person a new ROTF Devy, I'm going with what I know.

minus any and all modding to convert it to g1 style devastator i would have to say that classics devastator is definately the less sucky of the 2

modded just right though that combiner set can rock hard

Even if you think Classics Devastator sucks, it's still $30 cheaper (ebay prices) than the movie one.

Then consider that the classics version does not suck.

and that the ROTF one is a large pile of shit exemplifying hasbro's laziness and stupidity.

    easy win

It boggles my mind that people give hasbro ROTF Devy a pass. When the movie hype dies down the people that bought it are going to want to kill themselves.

If there had been no movie, Hasbro would have been even more roundly criticized

    Which one?
F_Rs custum classic Devastator or F_Rs RotF repaint?:)

As a character G1 Devy rocks, as a toy from best to worst:

    Any custom G1 Devastator
    Rotf Devastator
    G1 Devastator

    Other variants arent worth mentioning..

Oh man, really? :(  I'd better start writing my will in preparation, because I'm leaving my lovely Devastator to you.

Make sure your estate has sufficient cash - overseas shipping and customs for that much horse shit is going to be expensive.
