Hey guys! This is my 1st post, so I thought I'd start with a pretty easy repaint. I took Longview and some other parts from some old models I had laying around and "transformed" him into my version of a Classics Cosmos. Keep in mind I am still pretty new to this, so comments and crits are welcomed!
Damn! I got to say that is wicked sweet. I mean its looks like old Cosmos got an upgrade. Not bad buddy, you get two thumbs up from me. I like those rockets in the back very sweet.
hmmm another Ptitvite Special! Glad to see more people catching on to this bash. I like the thrusters. The black and orange make him a little too mean for my tastes. I realize that it does look for evil than good and well I'm still thinking how to modify it, but I think I can you use some of yours if you let me, Mega-Prime 316. If not well at least I asked.
Great work once again man. You just keep pumping them out! I like the colors but I kind of feel like the blue on the helmet throws it off a bit. I totally dig what you've done with the alt mode. This buy is my favorite Real Gear fig, it's nice to see him as a G1 character, fits in with Classics. I might have to follow the crowd and make me one of these too
Ezilla82--sure you can use a variation of my idea, after all it is not exclusive to me. I'm guilty of borrowing an idea or two myself! Lucs--I picked the metalic blue for the visor to stick with a cartoon feel..Autobots generally had blue optics,(a few exceptions..Omega Supreme) and the Decepticons generally had red on their optics.
heck, I've seen at least 3 other versions of this Longview/Cosmos (including my own). Thats why I called it "another Ptitvite Special" as his was the first I saw. I may "borrow" this thruster idea. Regardless; unless its scratch-built, more than likely whatever you are working on there is bound to be 5 other people that have the same idea. Besides, we are all in this for the same reason...to expand our collections any way possible!!!
Mega-Prime 316- Thanks man. I think the thruster idea would work now just find thrusters, but I know that wouldn't be a problem. kalron-I dont know if I saw yours or not, but I guess when we all saw Longview one thing came to mind, Cosmos besides since we felt bad of the cancellantion of Titanium and its prototype of Cosmos well I guess it was a way to cope with that and use that mold to feel in the void in our collections. Man I know that sounds corny but thats how it plays in my mind.
Bloody brilliant. Though the thrusters aft kill the Defiant vibe from other, similar customs. (I love Star Trek. *shrug*)
