next up in the finish line....onslaught!! he does have a base mode too but i don't want to unveil it until another "main" chunk is done.this main chunk will significantly bulk him up in base and vehicle mode,but for now,it'll just be pics of bot mode and cannon transport mode.there's also extra strategically placed magnets fused to him already,just waiting for the bigger upgrade chunk to be finished.the base figure is obviously cybertron prime but with a few mods.his original head had the big black ear things and hinges lopped off,a helluva lotta "struxx" joints have been added to certain spots(for something bigger later on)and he's also had another set of wheels donated to him from cybertron defense hotshot.the extra set of wheels are free rolling but not like a hotwheels wheel.his twin cannons are made up from odds and sods from the parts bins and can attach to him either with the "struxx" joints or by magnets.his large silver rifle is made up of a loonie store "gundam" gun with some "struxx" bits added.i know it looks kinda big for him but it looks perfect in bruticus's hands.it can also attach to him with magnets.the shield is actually the right foot pad for bruticus.all paints are tamiya acrylics except for the silver which is automotive enamel.all has been coated with kyrlon matte clear.the decepticon logos are vinyl.

 

Not bad. You know those bulbous look things on top in the cab might look silly, but I think I have a solution. Maybe those things are like radar to delecting enemies and so forth. So take that into consideration if you don't want that way. Hey I'm cool with it.

 

man... that bruticus is gonna be MASSIVE.

 

thanks man.it sucks that they ended up where they did but it was necessary for them to be at that certain spot for him to be able to combine into the bigger guy. that could be a feasable idea to help explain the "bulbs" though. hmmmm....

I've always thought this mold was perfect for Onslaught. The Prime head works pretty well for Onslaught as well. Can't wait to see the final product.

I agree the ball joints looks a bit out of place in Alt mode, but I'm sure it will be worth the payoff when we see the whole shebang.

Great job on the head and the colors, as well.

 

Looks pretty awesome... surprisingly good fit for Onslaught.

I know why they're there, but I do have to agree that the ball-joints in vehicle mode are distracting. It looks like he's wearing his testicles on his roof.

I think this is a great mold choice for Onslaught. The balljoints have already been discussed, so I don't really feel the need to discuss that further. I really like all of the things you've added to make this guy "Onslaught"  

 

Great job! I always wondered how Onslaught would look in this mold. You really brought him out and at first glance, you can't even notice that it's from the Cybertron Prime toy. The paint apps and colors look great on this and the ball joints do look a bit off, but I also know they're in place to help combine, so it's all good. I really dig the large cannons on his back and the added wheels. You've cranked out another great custom, bro! Definitely looking forward to seeing Bruticus now. Keep up the great work!

a great fit for onslaught. most accurate I've seen in while. nicely executed. I'm surprised how well that prime head looks as onslaught. hoodathunk? the ball joints don't bother me so much either. ballsy (no pun) of you keeping them on while in alt mode. looking forward to more on this project.

 

WOW, great use of this mold...I don't know why I never saw this possibility, but it is obvious now. I agree...this will be one tremendously LARGE Bruticus.
