I'll keep this short since the pictures we've all seen before really tell it all:

This is the perfect $10 Bumblebee. For this price range and target audience (kids), I litterally cannot think of anything that could have been done better. I don't like the riced-out nature of the car, particularly the sculpting on the roof, but then again....kids. So I really can't complain.

He's significanly shorter than Starscream as well, so well-done there.

My one surprise that photos don't show: THE SPOILER EASILY POPS OFF AND THEN SNAPS BACK ON.

So you don't like the spoiler, you don't need to have it, no harm done to the toy.

    Buy without hesitation.

I friggen love his jetpack... And the seats that become his knees are a nice touch too...

I am so happy to see the 'Bee make a comeback...

A word of caution though, make sure to check the paint apps on the hood of the car and the roof... There were a lot of 'Bee's that had bad paint apps on them at the store I picked him up from...

8.5 out of 10.0 for me...

Great toy, easily my favorite Autobot of wave one (tied with Prime).

    3 Small Nitpicks:

    1. No gun.... every other toy in the wave got a gun.... (Well except Megatron who IS a gun).

    2. Paint apps can be chincy, the back left bumper on mine is scuffed and it was like this out of the "box" so to speak.

    3. His Rubsign is a little too big for the place they put it and mine came right off when i touched it, I had to reglue it back on.

you'll be greatly dissapointed, you'd never mistake BB's alt mode for an Alternator car.

Very nice little toy. The only nitpicks I have:

    (i) The jetpack doesn't attach tightly enough in robot mode (needs a better clip or something).
(ii) The rubsign on mine was skewed about 30 degrees, necessitating complete removal and regluing.
(iii) Moving the shoulders can shift the wheels inside the chest, dislodging the panel the head sits on.

Otherwise, the toy is solid in vehicle mode, looks good all around and has great poseability in robot mode. I'd have liked to see a gun, but the jetpack is a neat accessory that hasn't appeared on a TF for awhile.

Bumblebee is a fun little figure. Sadly no gun. Heck even a tiny gun would be nice. The jet pack is cool though. Overall another excellent figure in this line. A-/A

I'd also like to see a pic of Bumbles in car mode alongside an alt.

(I know he's nowhere near 1:24, I want to see if he looks like the G1 Minibot next to the old deluxes).

I had that problem... Until I noticed that I didn't push the lower half of his body all the way back to where his car hitch is... Now the jetpack sits nice and snug...

I would also like to see a pic of that. Maybe even a comparison pic of him and Alt. Prime for example.

I love this little guy. One of my favorite classics so far. The only flaw I noticed in mine was that his "shin flaps" on his feet were loose and poped out if I wasn't careful. Is there any way to lock those in place better with the "knee flaps" or something?

A great Bumblebee update, pretty much the same transformation and aestetics as G1 'Bee, but upgraded and beefier looking. Not much else to say...I find the Wave Crusher thing pretty pointless, even if it does transform into a jet pack. I'd have rather had a small gun gor Bumblebee as an accessory though. Also Bumblebee really doesn' have much of a midsection...but I have forgiven that on larger figures (C Jetfire, E Mirage) so I can forgive it on the nearly perfect Bumblebee update too.

My least favorite of the first wave, but still better than most anything else I've bought since getting back into collecting TFs with RiD. A++

I'll go along with saying that, with the possible exception of the car mode and (lack of) weaponry, it's about as close to a perfect incarnation of Bumblebee that we're likely to get for a while. (G1ish-styled BB, that is)

So far BB is the only Classics toy I've laid my hands on, at least until new Classics toys aren't wiped out within five minutes of appearing on shelves. :)

I wasn't too happy when I first saw pics of this guy, but I take most of it back now.

Classics Bumblebee is awesome. They nailed the essence of the character, while still giving him the required new form. The transformation is easy and fun, and he's even got seats. The wings are a nice bonus (but not crucial).

Speaking of which -- they actually trademarked the name of his jet-ski trailer -- Wave Crusher (tm). That's really strange. I wonder what else they intend to do with that name ...

Scale-wise, you won't mistake him for an Alt in car mode. HOWEVER, he's about half the height of other Alts in *bot* mode, which fits his character. IMHO, the size is pretty much perfect -- small, but not microscopic like the original Minibots.

As mentioned before, DO take a close look at the paint apps BEFORE buying/opening up any Classics figure -- they've been somewhat sloppy and inconsistent on the few I've seen.

There's been a lot of speculation about what the alt mode is based on -- but other than the headlights (which do bear a strong resemblance to the Citroen Xsara), almost nothing has been lifted straight from any small car I'm familiar with. The front 2/3's has the overall boxy shape of a Mini -- but the details are clearly different (raised section, headlights, grille, etc.) The back third looks like some mutant fusion of a hatchback, a Beetle, and a ricer (hello giant unnecessary spoiler!) It doesn't help that it looks like someone backed the car into a giant vat of white paint.

If you examine the figure closely, it seems like the shape of the rear was largely dictated by the size requirements of the bot mode and the clip-on wings -- i.e. it needed to be very short and tucked away. It doesn't really mesh well with the rest of the car -- but since it's a smaller portion, it's easy to ignore.

Other niggles: The fold-down car seat/knees tend to get tangled with the yellow hood/leg covers. The instructions for transforming the trailer are wrong; you have to twist the jet ski to point in the proper direction, and it's screwed in pretty tightly.

Fit and finish is excellent; joints are nice and tight, and everything fits together very easily. This is even more impressive when you consider how easily the bot-to-car transform could've gone wrong -- the legs have to be bent at a very specific angle, but that seems to happen almost automatically when you rotate the windshield into place. It's like a less-finicky Alt transformation.

Bumblebee's never had a great toy before, and now he finally does. Get this while you can -- it's probably the last time you'll see Bumblebee looking like himself for quite a while.

    Grade: A-

Wave Crusher was the trademarked name for a GI Joe water-sled toy.

Yeah... Plus, it's not like his G1 version had a gun either... And in the comics and cartoons, he had that little pea shooter which just looked silly...:lol

I love this guy. Prime's smaller gun is about perfect for him. Great transformation, , great head sculpt, great articulation, great size...A+ My favorite classic.

I was nervous about removing it (since it seemed to be on pretty tight and I didn't want to break it) -- but taking the spoiler off makes the car look a LOT more like old-school Bumblebee.

Downside: you can more clearly see his head through the rear windshield now. I guess that's why the spoiler was there in the first place.

I suppose the other obvious thing would be to remove some/all of the white paint on the rear ... but I'm not THAT brave.
