I'm sure we have discussed what classics bumblebee/cliffjumper is, But to be honest with you, I haven't the slighest what he could be. He looks almost like a mini cooper. But his front end is extended, and looks like such a small cab. I know that VW doesn't want bumblebee to be one, but as an official employee of VW, I state that why can't we consider the classic be something like a Rabbit or Golf? I mean, the body looks close enough, any thoughts? Or has someone actually found out what the hell he is?
There are influences which went into the mold, without a doubt. I really don't think he's based off of anything. I'm sure Hasbro did their best to make sure it looked original. Last thing they want is a likeness suit for a toy that doesn't carry any licensing.
He's a fantasy car, based on the common traits of the modern hatchback. He's got some Jetta, some Mini, some Focus, whatever you want...you can't find him on a lot, anywhere, but you can find a dozen cars that are pretty close.
Well, I think that for now I will consider him a golf/rabbit...only because damnit, I can't find any yellow beetles on our lot!
I Love the BB/CJ Mold and i like the VW Rabbit/Golf,I knew it was that but i thought it looked like a Honda Civic,Peugout 206 and VW Rabbit.
From that interview a while back, we know that Classics BB was designed by Alex Kubalsky. Wonder if he's got an email address.
