This is a commission from a friend of mine in my car club that I got last month and was finally able to start this past weekend.

My buddy wanted these guys as close to the originals size as possible. He also wanted a more updated look and as simple to transform as possible. After getting together a couple of times and looking at alot of figures we decided that these figures were the best choice for the build.

Battletrap is made from Energon Blackout and TFTM Crosshairs. We thought about going with Brushguard but after he saw the robot mode he felt Crosshairs was a better choice. That and he never liked the fact that all the other Duocon vehicles were military looking and the truck wasn't.

Flywheels is made up of Energon Kickback and Windrazor. The hardest thing on him was figuring out the feet.I wanted to give him as close to G1 as I could.

All and all I like how these guys are turning out and so is my friend.Still some work to do on them like their heads but nothing major.Hope you guys like them so far and hope to have the finished items on here soon.

    Enjoy!!!!!!

Damn those are awesome! Why do you keep coming up with projects that I end up wanting to do myself? One of my favorite TFs as a kid was Flywheels. Are you gonna do a tutorial on these guys? Or are they pretty straight forward?

I will have a couple of spare figures when Bruticus and the upgrades get released. This will be an awsome way to use them.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words!!!!!!!!!

I'll try and take some detailed pics of how they connect and everything. It's pretty much straight forward.I used magnets on Battletrap to hold the back and chest piece. For Flywheels I just used the connectors that were already there for his back and the front is just held in place by friction.

Looking at this again, I'd almost suggest tearing the legs off of the helicopter and jet. You can scratch build new engine turbines for the chopper and take the wings off some other toy airplane for the jet. It'd reduce the bulk of the combined form a bit.
