Are you on a strict TF diet? Want to expand on your robot cuisine? Brave, Super Sentai, Soul of Chogokin, Macross...list goes on and on. I started out as a Super Sentai robo collector, but my curiosity has taken me on a journey through some AMAZING toy lines, both within and outside of the TF franchise. Just a thought :D

Masterpiece: There's no scale in the line which sucks but with the exception of Hot Rod every figure has been a winner!

Alternators/Binal Tech: This is the line that got me back into Transformers! Some of the molds are starting to show a little age, but most of them are pretty awesome.

Animated: I personally didn't care for the line until I watched the show. Once I saw the personality's behind the character design it all made sense.

G1: Old Faithful! Yeah there are some bricks in G1 but overall its the best line to collect.

Ok... so I'll scratch Alt. Prime off the immediate list, lol. I've wanted alt ravage forever, so I think that'll be my first find for Alternators, and then I'll move from there. I'm really excited to see the diecast and the like on them in hand.

I'm looking at my RID figures, and I have things liek Japanese Scourge, and Megatron/Galvatron. I also see that a lot of people seem to sell Optimus and Magnus at non-insane prices, so I don't think that'd be a hard line to really bulk up.

if you want diecast, you'll have to get the binaltechs (there is no jaguar ravage in binaltech) but good choice for a line, alts were my first line coming back to collecting

Right now, just four, so nothing crazy man. I think it's neat that people have a ton, but, it's just not my thing. If I were wanting to invest a ton of money into that many maiden japan kits, then I'd be more willing to do it, but that's a lot of money that can go towards other shit, even non-TF related.

    Lovin' the sig btw Seali!

TJ, you don't need everything from RiD line. Here are my recommendations:

    The autobot brothers
    Omega Prime
    Rail Racer (must)
    Build King

You have Megs and scourge already.

Nice. I'm really surprised at the love for alternators. Like... it just doesn't seem to be a line I've even seen brought up that much.

I only have Mirage and Silverstreak, but based on them I can fully recommend alternators too. There was a thread fully dedicated to cool pics of them, maybe you can fish it up and see for yourself.

Keep your eye on the DOTM stuff... there's a subline in there that has a Powerglide that looks bad-ass! You could augment your classics with some of that stuff maybe. And the Shockwave might be the closest thing we get to a Classics Shockwave. Just sayin'. I don't like the movie "look" but at least so far the Shockwave's not THAT bad looking, considering.

    I still say RiD.

There is a direct line of descent that starts with the RiD Autobot Brothers, continues on through Binaltech/Alternators and then to Human Alliance from the Movie Lines and Classics 2.0 and 3.0.

Basically it preserved somewhat-complex Transformers through the mostly garbage (with some notable exceptions of course) Unicron Trilogy. Heck, look at RiD Sideburn, then Hotshot from the next 3 lines, and realize with horror, Sideburn came first...

I echo the animated line feelings here.

You won't like them until you own them. I thought I'd just get one because Ultra Magnus looks cool. Now I own the line.
