This is my take on Gobots Crasher. It's a straight repaint using the Fracture mold. The melee weapon was made from Gundam bits and a jewelry chain.

Since the forum shake up now allows us to attach 20 images, I decided to upload some of the other Crasher pics.

Ahh, something I've been pondering myself. Gobot Crasher is shelved next to one of my Fractures, matter of fact.

    Looks great, btw :)

Yea, the Fracture repaint is great by default. I've seen Crasher customs back when Mirage came out for original Classics and they've all looked great. Figured I'd give it a try myself. I'm thinking of giving her something special that'll separate her from the rest.

Perhaps a melee weapon since Gobots weren't really known for carrying guns...

What does everyone think about painting all the red parts you see in the pic a dark orange?

Also, any suggestions as to a weapon?

Should have this finished sometime this afternoon. All in all, it's turning out better than I thought. And I have to say that this mold is pretty simple to paint especially for a custom that is already black to begin with.

Not too many areas to worry about chipping paint (except for the canopy). That's frustrating considering I sanded the area down a little and some of the paint keeps coming off. I might just sharpie it, but first I try some Future to see if that will make a difference.

I think the dark orange looks really good. Can't help you with the weapon question unless maybe in some episode she picked something up to use and you can reproduce that.

Are you ever gonna show us car mode pics?

Yep, some of the parts in car mode need to be touched up. But you'll see new pics this afternoon.

That car mode looks great. I'm not really liking the red short stripes on the sides right above the number "1" but it's your custom. It just seems out of place. Good job on the paint though

Definitely go for the mace! :thumbs2: Hey, I don't have the Fracture mold, only some Mirages. Are the eyes light-piped or did they make it solid for Fracture?

**EDIT** Or maybe make an Axe like weapon from the nose-gun part!

BH: the eyes on Fracture are painted on. I didn't really mess with the head too much. The work was already done for the most part. I just painted over the red portions of the helmet and highlighted her lips a little.

I thought about an axe for her weapon too and I almost considered using the one from deluxe Animated Prime. But I think the mace will work better for this. I pretty much got the idea from Animated Swoop and seeing how badass he looked.

Lucs: I agree with you about the dark orange above the "1" not working too well in vehicle mode. It looks much better in robot mode and spreads the color around along with the added bits of chrome. So when I painted them originally, I had her robot mode in mind.

If I may suggest a weapon, why not a hammer of some sort? Not a very feminine weapon, but it'd suit her well. Either one big hammer, or two smaller ones.

That could work too...I believe Cybetron Red Alert has a hammer attachment.

In the meantime, I might step out to Walmart shortly to see about a chain for the mace.

That looks hot! The only thing I dont really dig is the upper thighs. The color seems really flat compared to the rest of the figure, though it could just be the photos. As for a weapon, the Megatron from MP Optimus would be awesome but I think a tad big, I would probably go for some sort of spear, but the mace sounds like it would work really well.

When I took those pictures, I realized something...the thighs were on backwards. The parts are marked incorrectly and that's how I got them confused. The one marked L (left) actually belongs on the right and vice versa. I didn't really notice until I started transforming her into vehicle because the legs wouldn't fold in all the way.

I also painted her legs gray because I didn't want too much chrome on the figure. Plus, I felt a neutral color would help break up everything else a little.
