I'd like to see Sky Lynx, but I don't think it'll happen because Aaron Archer isn't a big Sky Lynx fan. I also don't see why we can't give Trailbreaker, Inferno, Cyclonus, Sandstorm, Runamuck, and Runabout some love.
Octane is a Deluxe, and Ultra Magnus is slated for the Animated line. Galvatron is the only Ultra that we know if so far.
Was pretty sure someone asked about the Titanium molds, and they said they'd try to work it in maybe for exclusives or something? But fan speculation was that Cosmos would be in Classics 2.0/Universe since it jumped from one line to another and probably won't be wasted. Though I must admit, the Titanium Shockwave mold was pretty nice and could work in Classics as a Voyager.
I do love Ultras, especially when they aren't ruined by electronics, ie. E Landmine. Great figure right there... I don't think we'll see any of the Titanium molds retooled for Classics 2.0 Ultras, as many people seem to hope with the Shockwave mold, simply because of the size issue. It'd be an entirely new toy. That isn't to say we won't get a Shockwave, but it won't be the Titanium. It seems like animated is stealing a lot of good characters, but I'd like the Ultra line up composed of whichever of these characters they can use: 1. Galvatron 2. Cyclonus 3. Rodimus Prime 4. Ultra Magnus 5. Springer 6. Blitzwing 7. Inferno/Grapple - why not give these guys an update, in the scale they deserve? They're ark bots, they're G1, and they'd have fun alt modes. 8. MotorMaster 9. Omega Supreme 10. Trypticon, maybe
Hmmm....here's my opinion of your list (with a little bit of fact)- 1. Already slated. 2. I'd rather him not be as big as an Ultra. 3. Same situation as Cyclonus, I'd rather him be a Voyager, so he's the same size as Optimus. 4. Slated for Animated line. 5. I'd rather him be a deluxe. 6. Slated for the Animated line. 7. If they were made, I'd rather them be smaller (probably deluxes). 8. If they were to make him, I could see him being a deluxe with the others in the team as scouts. 9. Ultra would be perfect for him. 10. Same thing with Omega Supreme, the Ultra size would be perfect for him if they did him good.
So soundwave and Shockwave will both be in the new animated series? What other cons are in it? I've hears Blitzwing, Starscream and Blackarachnia are as well as megs obviously. Any others? Where can I find the list of characters to appear?
What octane is ultra! I thought it was confirmed at bot con But I whould love a shockwave ultra I whould like blaster and tapes in the line up but not ultra voyager maybe?
Dont get your hopes up with minor characters like Springer or big clunky things like Trypticon and Omega Supreme. Rodimus Prime has seen too many releases already, and UM will be in the cartoon. If I recall correctly they said there would only be like 3 Ultras. We'll just have to wait and find out.
Nope. He apparently was stated as a Deluxe at Botcon too. We're going to be getting 3-4 Ultra's in the first run (fall 2008). Personally, I hope they do 4, so that we can have a nice even number.
I'm also a fan of the Voyaver size class...but if there are going to be four Ultras my pics would be: Autobots: Ultra Magnus Blaster (though I'd wish for a Voyager sized toy with a couple tapes, probably Rewind and Steeljaw to come packed with it) Decepticons: Six Shot Soundwave (similar to Blaster, with Rumble and Ravage) Glad to hear Octane is supposedly a deluxe! City bots would be cool, but I'd hate anything less than Supreme size class.
I think thats fucked up! Just because you arent a big Sky Lynx fan, doesnt mean the people buying the toys arent gonna love him. He's the only one that I can think of that would fit the Ultra scale perfectly! I hope Archer realizes this. There are alot of neat and interesting gimmicks that get over shadowed from the 86 because of the backlash from Prime's death. I hope we get a Classics Sky Lynx
The panel at Botcon said that they wish to do all the Triple Changers inbetween the Classics and Animated lines. So expect to see Springer somewhere in 2008 or 09.
I've never been a big fan of Sky Lynx myself, but, thinking about what a Classics update of him could look like, especially at the Ultra class, I would buy him just because he would look cool, and he's a part of the Classics line, lol. I plan on getting as many of the Classics figurea as possible (minicons, loc's, and the repaint of Prime into UM aren't a part of my "Classics", lol). Ok, that's who mentioned that they were interested in doing an update of Predaking. I remembered hearing that someone was interested in updating him, but, I couldn't remember who. If they do Predaking, I think that they should also do Bruticus and Liokaiser.
Nope, they said triple-changers, withought designating Autobot or Deceptcon, or which line which Triple-Changers would be in.
