    -Updated 7/30, pretty much done.
I still have to figure out the best way to attach the roof.. for now, I'm just going to play with it without it on. =/

Just airbrushed with some Testors acrylics - True Blue Pearl, Stop Sign Red and gold/gloss black/aluminum for the highlighting.

    -UPDATED 7/26 with real version-

WIP but here's the quick and (very) dirty digibash thanks to Seibertron's photos.

Simple repaint. The lightbar has a post that is where the screw goes it to attach it and the roof to the figure. I'm going to fill that hole with putty and hope I don't screw up when trying to make the screw hole.

That's the only mod, the rest is a simple repaint. Hopefully, I can make some time and do this up, as it shouldn't take long to finish. I repainted Animated Starscream to G1 colors too but he needs some touching up because I put him together too soon and dinged up a lot of the paint. =(

Yeah, I figure we'll get this sooner rather than later, if not in the main line, as a future con exclusive. If we don't get Smokescreen and Red Alert in the next two years, I'd be *very* surprised.

As such, I'm taking advice from Axl and using a little patience.

Without doubts it looks good! Repaints of this guy should end up on ebay pretty soon I guess.

I think I'll have to wait for TF Universe silverstreak because I like Silverstreak's mold and color on the car windows and it helps to enhance Smokescreen's color on car mode. But if there's no way I can get TFU Silverstreak then TFU Prowl will make a perfect toy for a repaint :)

have you heard the 91% alchohol story with this one? Be careful, bro...but this will look sweet when finished.

Rally car style, crazy decals, etc?

Yeah, you have to figure that Hasbro will milk the repaint teet until it's dry .. but I don't want to wait until next year or until it becomes an expensive exclusive somewhere.

I was pondering on that. Didn't put it on the digibash but it's in my head.

I was thinking I should use that one, more because I wouldn't have to mod the lightbar. But Prowl has the white base and the white thighs (which match the original SS), so less airbrushing/paint me thinks. The thighs kinda sold it for me.

The what now? :inquisiti  Upon trying to remove the black paint apps, I notice that the plastic is fairly weak. I'm using some acetone that I use to clean my airbrush (still learning w/ acrylics right now) and I see the plastic getting "eaten" a little, for lack of a better word. Is that the word goin' 'round?

Not really, keeping it simple like the original. Just the 38 sticker. I wanted badly to mod the neck and give him a ball joint but the hood is in the way of doing much of anything. If I can figure a way to put the socket of a legends fig joint inside his head without destroying it, then I might still give it a go.

I'm thinking they'd look out of place, since they'd be to small but who knows until someone tries it!

Pics updated with an 85% complete real version. I still have to finish redoing the roof, paint the head, touch up a large handful of oversprays/screw ups and get some labels/stickers so I can print up the 38.

I second that and btw mentioning paint and alcohol, I suggest that you guys be careful when removing paint because I was too impatient I used a paint remover that literally melted my extra classics Starscream's chest which I was using to make a classics T-crack. Man, do you have any link where I can post the pictures of the disaster that happened to my custom so that all can be warned about paint removal not to use too much alcohol or not to use paint remover at all.

Overall , that Smokescreen custom gets my vote as I said earlier.

I think the 38 should be a little larger but it seems fine. I might print up another sticker later if it bugs me. I still haven't attached the roof. Trying to either find a way to make it detachable as it came (although I'm not really sure if I'd ever need to take it off) or how to permanently attach it.

For now, I just want to 'play' with it. =) Thanks for looking!
