i see some people complaining about the fact that they want the figure to look great in both modes and have a complex transformation when u spend this much on a figure....
but i gotta say, silverbolt looks awesome in both modes! i love this figure to bits, and i dont feel cheated at all...i wouldnt have minded a bit more involving transformation but im not complaining one bit

I saw him in person today. He's bigger than I thought he'd be, but still passed him up.

I'm a picky bastard with a small collection. And this thing, Silverbolt, has easily become one of my most favorite TF toys ever.

It isn't by any stretch the least bit realistic (I frankly don't care for TFs that are), and it isn't cartoon-accurate or a favorite character. But damn it's a fun toy. Enough steps in the transformation to work my hands in a fun way. Very nostalgic sort of boxy bot mode. Capable of some stellar poses. Simply great hand candy.

    In sum: EXCELLENT!

Hand candy indeed, I've been reaching for this guy constantly since I got him a few weeks ago. One of the best TFs ever to me.

While I still stand by the complaints I've made, I did finally find Silverbolt not too long ago, and I have to say, it might be the best figure in the line. It blows away Powerglide, the undercarriage is not as bad as Movie Starscream's(which I may have said it was initially), stability is good, articulation is great, and this is a very durable toy. The alt mode does a better job of disguising the robot mode than Classics Jetfire, this is probably the best jet transformer in Classics so far, and definitely the best one in recent years for a mass market Transformer line.

Finally got him and have to say I love it. Looks good in both modes and simplistic transformation is a plus IMO. Transformation sound effects were great too. Overall a great toy that improves upon one of my favorite G1 TFs :thumb :

Wow, I'm surprised by all the positive opinions on this guy.

I actually regret buying him - he's so not worth the $25 price tag. Simple, boxy, he suffers from the robot-under-jet and jet-on-back-of-robot syndromes - I think he sucks.

Very not recommended, unless you can find him on clearance.

if you dont' want yours, I'll take him for a slight discount. I need one for a re-shell project's fodder.

Nah - I'll keep him - he looks fine enough in robot mode on the shelf next to the other classics, it's just disappointing how expensive and simple he is.

His cost certainly didn't go into his engineering when compared to the likes of onslaught, he is overpriced for what he. I would wait instead of getting him at full value, but still very very cool and a complimentary figure to the classics lineup..

And yet I like him so much that I'm willing to pay extra just to get the Henkei version along with the regular version I have. :)

I gladly paid the 25 buckeroonis for this thing. I would have paid more, like him more than Onslaught.

I like Silverbolt despite the odd color choices. Seriously safety red clashes with the maroon...

The simple transformation is fun I like the pop-up head and transforming noise it's a nice touch.

I feel there's a bit to be desired like rotating fists and movable hips...

At least he's a funny upgrade of his geewun toy.

The henkei version is ridiculously white it's not any better...

    I just got this.

I have got to say, it is one of THE most underrated figures ever.

    Best Ultra after Onslaught, IMO.

Anyone know if they fixed the lights for Henkei Silverbolt, since they fixed Henkei Onslaught's siren.

Only thing I can figure is the eyes don't light up any time other than during the TF noise.
