Both figures are awesome. Their twist-tie prison/hell is not. What ever happened to a blister glued to a card as the sole packaging? I've never been so frustrated trying to open a damn toy.

Skywarp: My example has all tight joints, except for his left foot. Paint apps are ok, but I chose the best of the seven I saw at Target.

Magnus: Colors work great in truck mode, too plain in bot mode. I'm still thinking about turning it into Nemesis Prime. This mold will rock in black.

 

i believe skywarp is just about the sexiest thing on the planet

on the flip side, magnus is so plain and lacking SOOO many cool paint apps [makes me cry every time i look at the box pic]


all in all though, i got a $20 skywarp with a free magnus!

Yeah, that twist-tie prision sucked. It took me an hour to pull them apart.

Ultra Magnus has a poor face paint-job. It eve has a chip on the top. So now i have to consider repainting his face.

I opned mine up last night..it took em an hour..no joke..stupid twist ties!

Anywho..Skywarp = teh hotness

Magnus= teh meh..got a repaint idea and a new head i might put on him.

 

Wire cutters dude. Wire cutters. Takes five minutes.

Plus I see buying a set of wire cutters as an investment for future TF twist tie cutting anyways so it's worth its weight right there.

 

Nail clippers. I had them both out in under 10 minutes.

 

I tried nail clipper recently and it just doesn't do it for me as well as wire cutters.

 

I just got this pack. I have to say that the twist tie count has officially passed ludicrous, and gone to plaid.

I still can't believe that they decided to leave an entire color off of Magnus. Madness!

I got my set over the weekend and I love it. Skywarp's plastic feels a bit flimsy compared to Starscream, but I'll deal. My only complaint is that the shade of purple they used is a bit light for my taste.

I originally planned on selling Magnus as soon as I opened the box, but he's kinda growing on me. I don't care about the character at all since I don't like the '86 movie, and after all we have Pat Lee to blame for the whole 'white Prime = Magnus' trend. The Prime mold is great and it's a very pleasing color combo (I'm glad there is no red on him). I was trying to thin my collection a bit, but I just may keep him, we'll see.

 

Curse you Hasbro for releasing 2-packs and making me like other Classics molds. Curse you!

Finally got this set yesterday. My Skywarp came with two right-hand arm blasters! :-( And the twist-ties were definitely plaid.

I mainly wanted this pack for Skywarp, and I thought Magnus was nice. I was initially dissapointed with his lack of paint apps compared to the first pics we saw, however upon opening them and messing with them, I think Magnus is a stand out in this pack. Skywarp is awesome but we knew that from the beginning, joints are tighter than Starscream's, and his face is actually PAINTED! That is cool.

However Magnus surprised me, very cool! I actually don't mind the paint job anymore, its not too bad, and the colors in alt mode are great.

That reminds me I still need to buy classics prime.
