Hopefully, the three "unannounced" figures are Jazz (updated Porsche), Prowl (Nissan 300), & Blitzwing. Although, realistically they will all be repaints (Cliffjumper as a red Bumblebee; Magnus as a white Prime, and Thundercracker as a Blue Screamer). I'm hoping my BotCon Exclusive Ironhide, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, and Robot Master Mirage fit well with this Neo-G1 line-up since I realistically don't see them being revamped for this series.
That would be really sweet to finally get a proper re-incarnation of G1 IronHide... you know a robot with a head!
Is it "completionist" or "completist"? Those 2 posts right together is funny. I think this October date is too "assumed"... I believe the October mention is more of when things will probably be shipping to stores or distribution centers. With the information I have as of now, I personally wouldn't expect to see these on shelves available for purchase until November or perhaps more likely December. There were previously 2 official "unannounced" slots and someone's just assumed deluxe Prime has been replaced as a new "unannounced" figure. I think that's a bad assumption. I hope for Blitzwing & Swoop as the 2 unannounced figures. I wouldn't put Jazz, Prowl, or more cars in the lineup, we've got 2, a limited number of slots, and there's no need to cover the same ground as Alternators. Hopefully, Soundwave is a $20 figure because he has 1 or maybe 2 little minions.... whatever his form may be.
I'm wondering if Hot Rod's going to be hard to find since I'm assuming he's the most likely to be the most popular character, actually... I remember having only seen a G1 Hot Rod once EVER in a store... I hate to be a fanboy, but yeah, he's the one I'm looking forward to the most. But I can't wait for the whole line. I'm probably going to buy em all, not because I'm a completionist, but because it looks like I'm going to like every single figure... so far anyway.
I understand why you were wondering that(personally I don't see Hot Rod as terribly more popular than others, especially Starscream). I just mean 1 guy thinks even case ratios are great, another thinks it's short-packed... funny...
I was thinking about buying two of everything in this line, one to open and play with and one to keep MISB (something I've never done before), so these case assortments are PERFECT for me. I can just order a full case at entertainment earth or wherever sells full cases and call it a day. Yay!
Definently looking forward to this line. I'll be getting everything as soon as online preorders pop up.
Too bad Grimlock isn't a first wave figure, but otherwise great news. I gotta wonder though, why would it be a problem to want to collect the whole line? It looks like there will only be 12 figures in two waves; should be far easier than, say, trying to get every Cybertron figure.
I assure you he was quite plentiful. TFs took up a loooot more shelf space back then. Finding him wasn't a problem; it was just cobbling together the money to go get him. My dad took me and my friend to the TRU next door to the theater where we just saw TFTM and my friend bought HR, who was hardly in short supply. I kept putting it off until the movie TMs came out, who weren't any harder to find, I just waited until I had enough money to buy TM HR/Kup/Cyclonus/Scourge all at once. Ditto that. If ever there was a TF line where I might buy two of each, this is it. For that matter, if this line is as good as I hope, not only will I do that, but I predict a massive selling off of quite a bit of RID-Cybertron stuff that's doing little more than taking up space.
