EDIT: Napjr kindly provided pics of his prints, with his Classics Screamer (see page 3, post 57 iirc, for more):

*As i understand it, the Screamer pictured is a combination of parts from Henkei, Classics, and maybe even Ramjet. The arms, and thus the connection points, have NOT been modified. The rays fit on stock classics seekers.

See below for final version, and a link to where you can get a set for yourself.

I'm on it, going for a straight copy of the MP rays, then downscaled and modified to fit better with Classics Screamer, so in the end it will be my own design.

Will, get back with the results shortly.

EDIT: How long do you want them? I have the MP seeker rays made in sketchup already, so i'll scale them as necessary. Currently they are
11cm, as long as the MP rays. The Classics are 9 cm. In my opinion, they should only reach the knee in robot mode, which would make the rays 7.5 cm long.

My preferred one is the 7.5 cm, as i remember there being many complaints about the Classics Seekers' rays being too long in the first place. For now, i'll scale them to that size, if you want something else, tell me.

EDIT: Here ya go, in Screamer's colours. I'll double it, so each one bought is a set of 2.

EDIT: Buy a set of 2 here:
Null Rays for Classics Seekers by Treadshot A1 on Shapeways

I recommend using WSF or any of its dyed variants, as it is very strong and easily painted. You can also print in any of the detail materials (Transparent Detail, Black Detail, White Detail) and even the new Frosted Detail and Frosted Ultra Detail! For the record, the thinnest part in this model is 1.36mm, not including where it tapers into points.

Sure thing bro, you caught me at a good time as I'm on break from school and have a lot of designing time to spare.

Do post pics when you get them!

Gotta agree with Megatron31, they are nice but i guess you could add some extra detailing... They are kinda bland looking right now

Plus, if you could make a photo mockup with a toy pic to see the overall size it would be great!

    Napjr and Megatron31:

I'm working on the detailing now. I only posted the first one up to let the OP know someone's working on this. Just gotta be careful i don't go too close to the MP rays, don't want HasTak to sick a bunch of ninjas on me.

Keep going, final pictures are below.

I guess i should've made it clearer that the above was a draft, sorta like a test model if you will, since i had to make sure SW accepted the general shape for printing.

    This is the final version:

I have hollowed out part of the underside to save cost.

You can view the model in 3D or buy a set for yourself here on Shapeways:

can i make one more suggestion?

the recessed part where the fins are on the back of the null ray (if i knew how to use photochop i would circle it) could you add some grooves to it? and then it would be perfect

The darkest gray section, you mean? Sure, I think everyone will get a kick out of those. Once that's done, then they should be ready.

ok that last shot sold it I must own them.

Now if only someone would do a animated style menosor head so I could stick it on my animated stunticons combined form I am working on...HINT HINT :p

    EDIT:

Just bought three sets in the frosted ultra detail, as it is supposed to be stronger than clear detail, yet retain the detail lost in strong and flexible.

    eagerly await theese.

dkreed7: Do you mind quoting my two posts in the OP? This one, and the one with the link to the single set above, i mean. I think it would be easier for people to locate them instead of scrolling through this thread. ;)

Rhapsodyred, thanks so much! I'm glad you like my work. :)

Megatron31, i'd recommend WSF (White Strong and Flexible). As the name suggests, it's very durable, quite heat resistant and easily painted (it's porous too, so less likely to incur paint rub). Due to this being a single piece (well, 2 single pieces), you should not need to do any sanding at all (i've never had to sand any WSF prints).

    Announcement!

I'm offering a Triple Set of Null Rays, which come at 20% off as compared to if you bought them separately!*

    Buy the Triple Set here!

*normally in WSF 3 sets is $22.50, with this set you pay only $18!

Treadshot, how long you planning on leaving those on your shop? I need like 8 sets, but have to give the wife a break from my hobby purchases until the DOTM line comes out (TC,WJ,WP and windcharger excluded). :)

Slightly textured, I guess, but not too noticeable. If you want very smootoh, go for White Detail.

They'll stay up pretty much forever, so don't worry, they'll still be around when DOTM comes out. I can't guarantee if the 20% off triple set offer will, though. ;)

Thanks Treadshot, and if they go up its still a better price than $200 for 8 of the SS coronation sets :)
