After the awsome difference the Classics Magnus Paint swap (making the eyes red) did for his appearence. I want to do something similar to CL Prime because the eyes and the rest of the head are so similar in color its hard to distinguish at times.

So I'd like to gather opinions on these options:

    Yellow, like the original toy

Light Blue, like the cartoon and MPs

My vote is for yellow, mainly to do something different from the ordinary. Peace out.

My only gripe about Classics Prime's bot mode has been the eyes not standing out more, and you pretty much need a light bulb stuck to the back of his head for the light-piping effect to work, so I'd love to see how your paint job turns out. The blue plastic on Ultra Magnus is lighter isn't it? I'd consider doing a swap since Magnus' eyes would get red paint anyway.

Not to mention the faceplate modification and the nose. You can't hardly see his nose and that faceplate makes him look like grimlock to me.

Yellow. Primes should have yellow eyes. That's the color I painted mine.

If you go with light blue, I'd suggest painting the rest of the face above the mouth plate silver.

Go with light blue, there's too much yellow on him as it is.

And paint the face around his eyes silver, it makes a world of difference.

    Gold.

I have a gold paint marker. I just disassembled his head, painted the eyes on the translucent piece, popped it all back together, and bang.

Looks great. It's a little more striking than just flat yellow. Did the same thing for Universe Nemesis Prime... his eyes are dark translucent red, with NO light piping, so you can barely see them. The gold works really well as an alternative... really brings them out.

Agreed. Painting the rest of the face will help seperate the face from the helmet and would look good no matter what color you go with for the eyes.

I love him the way he is, but you can't go wrong with yellow like so many of the toys or light blue like the cartoon.
