Hey Cerebros, I left the samples on default for that render. I liked the look the patches gave to the render. Heres some new renders. Started working on the legs. Their basically done. Now I gotta start on the feet, then work my way back to the front of the truck mode. I didn't like the original tire treads and wheel I modeled from before. So modeled a new tire, and a new front and rear wheel.
Dude... that is un-freakin-believable. The ammount of detail you've put into it is uncanny. Damn, I can't wait to see this guy finished. Looks awsome!
Hiyaz Venksta, yeah the patches made for a interesting "look" : ) Are those tires modelled with geometry and not normal/displacement mapped? Ouch, your GFX card must love you for this : ) It's coming along very nicely though. any chance of an updated render with the samples set to 1 - 2 respectively ? I'd like to see the detail and not have it blurred by the subsampling Keep it up man, 3D|TF's is where its at for me C.

Hey guys. Been a while since my last update. I've actually been working on Prime. Remodeled some of the front parts of the cab, and made the weapon parts. Look below for new renders. Now I have to set up the transformation for his front bumper and wheels. Then off to model everything thats left, which isn't much. Cerebros - The tires are modeled. I prefer them that way. I've set them up so I don't have to deal with them, and they only show up when I render. So my GFX card stays happy. Draven - I think the same thing when I see your work. Its great to be movtivated by other artists.
Wow. I love the improvements you've made. The grill looks much better than the actual toy, and the lights look fantastic lower on the truck like that. Without a doubt I am going to kitbash my Prime to have lower headlights when I get him after seeing this.
