Hey guys, I enjoyed cutting down the size and reducing the amount of polygons of the Bumblebee character, I decided to got back and Do Optimus Prime. Not much needed to be modified other than his Ion blaster. I modeled it out so it looks more toy accuracte and cut down the character by over
    16,000 polygons.

    Hope you guys enjoy!

I'm so glad you guys like it. Gonna keep em coming. Gonna go back and re-do my version of classic Grimlock. I basically used the "Marvel Crossover" Hulk tank and recolored it using the "Classics" Grimlock Color scheme and obviosly replaced the head. I might have pics up later on tonight or tomorrow. Keep a look out for it and don't forget to check out the rest of my artwork over at....

I'm not sure if i said anything about your prime before, but that is one nice model you have there! And 16,000 poly reduction? Quite a feat. Unless you were working with triangles?
Now that raises a question: How do you do your modeling, triangles or 4-sided polys, all one model or a lot of seperate parts, etc?

Thanks Optimus-wave. I managed to delete a bunch of polys that I didn't need and yes triangles were there. I've learned about how models are some what supposed to work. the triangles that were used were basically at the ends of cylinders. I don't use triangles but those were ones that I didn't realize. I work with 4 sided polys. In order to get these guys to literally transform, I have to use seperate parts. I think I have about 108 poly meshes on this model. Check out my website and they have all the scene info on each of the characters page.
