classic megatron recolor japanese release?

    I thank the modeators for allowing me to post again... (humans are the best at lyning)...Anyway... can Japan recolor classics megatron leglly? I love the mold, but lets' face it... paint takes away from the details! ( for those wishing to correct the colors with pastel paints )

    I like the colors on classic megs,they are almost the same as g1
    megs,so I will get him for that reason.

    The only thing I don't like is the green. The rest is fine. I don't even mind the orange. The green just doesn't fit. Purple would be much better.

    They dont have a choice on the green, the reason he has green as well as purple is so it doesn't look at all realistic from a distance. Personally red and grey would have done wonders instead but there's no way they could legally get away with it, they have to include bright colors.

    You'll notice all of the green is located on his back shell in robot mode so it's seperate from the overall design, that helps a lot with the robot mode's appearance at least. If these are released in Japan, translucent red and grey will be the colors of choice but I haven't heard of any plans to do it.

    Yes Japan can recolor it anything they wish, they are not bound by the US "Safety" laws.

    The general consensus, I think, is that if the Classics do make it to Japan it'll be as USA editions. I could be mistaken, though.
    I really hope the wings on Megatron are somehow either detachable or able to fold round so the green is less obvious. Detachable would be the best since they look a little off compared to the rest of the design, but even if they flipped round 180 degrees to show the other side I think they'd look a little more in keeping with the rest of him.

    I think the way he's colored now makes him a true Robot in Disguise. He looks like any toy water/noise making play gun. It will be cool for kids to be able to have to toys in one.

    Yeah I'm not a big fan of the green either. I'll live with it, but I agree a dark purple or red would look better

    I may wait a couple of months too see if a repaint comes out...or cave in the day I see it, whatever comes first

    That's identical to one of Redline's digibashes. It's close to what I plan to do, on the toy.
