I truly doubt that. Think back a few years when you were just another fan like the rest of us - wouldn't you have been excited and wanted to share that excitement with your fellow fans if you chanced across something as cool as these pics? Yes, he's overstepped the mark here but I'm sure it's down to excitement and enthusiasm and nothing more.

 

then why the anonymity? he's not as excited to post these himself now, did he? perhaps he knows these can get certain people in trouble?

I mean really, this was their chance to be the toast of the fandom for being brazen enough to access and release confidential files

 

True,but if you know what you're doing's not right then being a fan isn't an excuse.I mean if I knew some excellent bit of news of course I'd be tempted.But doesn't mean I mean I have to act on said temptation

Whoever this person is hiding behind the anonymity of the internet.And the only reason NOT to reveal him/herself is because they know the trouble they'd get into

If one even stops to think about the possiblity of getting people in trouble, and/or how to release it without getting in trouble themselves, then you know that it's wrong.

This person should be   , before thrown out on the street on thier dumb ass.

 

What people really need to know if that the Comic industry is really a petty industry, there are a lot more going on than most people know, it buggles the mind...

 

Some people just can't stand to not share stuff like this, and I'm with Don, they knew they would get in it for showing them off, so they stayed in the shadows.

BTW good stuff Don, I have yet to see something by you that I don't like.

Having worked in both the Comics industry and the movie biz, I feel safe in saying that both are cutthroat and petty. But at least in coimics, you kinda know where you stand and how others see you.

I think from the responses I've seen here and on other boards, that most of us understand the how's and why's this was wrong and hold DON in high reguard. If the person/s reponsible for the leaks know they done wrong, hopefully they have learned their lesson and won't do it again. If this was done on purpose for some precieved slight of DON's or Hasbro's, then hopefully the right parties find out who they are and plug the leak.

 

You may want to clarify who you are refering to when you say "he". From the sound of it, I assume you are refering to Redline. If so, then I don't think anyone, including Don, is really upset at Redline. People, including Don, is upset at the anonymous person who sent Redline the pics. I can see why Don would think that someone may be trying to be vindictive. It could be that the anonymous person is thinking "screw you Don. I'm going to steal your thunder by having these pics posted." Or worse, anonymous person could be thinking, "Screw you Don, there are only a few people who have access to these pics, including you, so if these pics are posted without permission then Hasbro will have to question those privy to the pics, including you to see if you leaked it." Possible other reasons too of course.

 

As someone who still misses Orson's World around these parts, I really hope this thing doesn't escalate such that Don has to keep a low profile in the fandom from now on.
The person who leaked these picture needs to realise that every time something like this happen the trust between Hasbro and the fandom is stretched and it can only stretch so far...

PS. Curiosity being what it is I saw the Hot Rod design in the usual, morally-ambiguous, place. I have to say the design looks fantastic and I would kill to see an Alt or Classics figure that comes even close to that!
