While fiddling with my 74BB last night, I figured out how to fix the floppy hood on the bad mold versions.

First, pop BB's hood down onto his chest. Look at the little rounded piece next to his head, that's the latch that's supposed to catch on the interior of the car to hold the hood in place. On 'bad mold' versions, the latch is molded too far down, so that it catches before it's supposed to, and BB ends up with a floppy hood.

Well, take some .5mm sheet styrene and cut out 2 1x1x.5mm blocks, and glue them together. Glue the assembled blocks onto the top of the latch, and when dry, sand/file/shave it flat with the rest of the latch.

If everything went according to plan, you should have a fully transformable 74 Camaro Bumblebee.

Any chance you could put up a few pics of this fix?

I don't have a camera handy, sorry. My instructions probably aren't the best, so I nabbed a couple of pics from Seibertron to show where the latch is located. On the 'bad mold' version, it's located farther back.
