Classic "Batman: The Animated Series" Joining The Hub Schedule Beginning Fall 2011

    I have just recieve confirmation that Batman: The Animated Series is set to join The Hub's Fall 2011 schedule beginning September 6th, 2011. The series joins Batman Beyond, already part of the network's schedule since Fall 2010.

    The ground-breaking Batman: The Animated Series will be joining Batman Beyond on The Hub beginning Fall 2011. The acclaimed 1990s animated series is confirmed to join the network beginning Tuesday, September 6th, 2011, the start of the network's new fall season. Batman: The Animated Series is scheduled to air Monday to Friday at 5:00pm (ET), 7:00pm (ET), and at 1:00am (ET) on The Hub. Weekend slots are planned.

    Additionally, Batman Beyond will now air Monday to Friday at 4:00pm (ET) on The Hub, with weekend slots planned.

    Interesting. At least there's Teletoon Retro (for us Canadians) which shows Batman: TAS late at night (around the 1:30 AM spot).

    Thank God I have the series on DVD because I can hardly ever stay up that late. :lol

    Earlier this year I broke out BTAS DVDs because I hadn't watched them since they were originally released. To my shock they looked like shit on my Blu Ray player.

    So this means two things. I'll be watching them on TV again. And, there really needs to be an HD release for BTAS.

    Because it was filmed. Anything filmed can be done in HD.... hell ten times HD.

    But do the film masters of BtAS still exist? And if so, what quality are they in? Oh sure they made box sets a while back, so chances are good they could make it HD, but would Warner Brothers even bother with it?

    It will probably depend on the ratings the show pulls in on the HUB. I'd buy the Blu-ray set in an instant,

    I don't know why not, they recently released the second season of Justice League. Seems there is still interest, and BTAS still has lots of fans.
