Class strengths and weaknesses

    What would you say the strengths and weaknesses of each class are? I made this because of many comments saying how one class is over-powered while another is under-powered. The same for weapons. So I thought that this will help.

    Unlike the tips and tricks thread this is exclusively for classes and their weapons.

    Infiltrator

    The only real threat the Infiltrator brings is the Path Blaster but that's only good for short-medium range. Close combat is harder with it because of the tight reticule which I've experienced when I'm fighting another Infiltrator and while we're both battling at close range, our accurace decreases until I but some distance in to score a shot. At close combat it's ideal to use the Scatter Blaster.

    Anything else to add? I haven't perfected the other classes as well so I'll add them later.

    The destroyer is bad at long range combat because of its explosive weapons and how long it takes a bullet to travel

    The thermo rockets will lock on to vehicles from a far distance and are quite powerful wen they hit the target, providing that the rockets don't hit the environment. I suppose that that counts as long range?

    The titan's speed, and the extreme slowdown is a huge weakness for it.

    Plus the button lag after transformation is a weakness for all classes, although since it IS for all classes it's more of a glitch/complaint than a weakness.

    Yea but who would be using there vehicles in a long range battle?

    It's more useful against scientists that are in jet mode and are firing from high up. It's fairly easy to target them in the air even at long range. The riot cannon is awfull at long range

    I know I do that a lot as well take the planes down with the thermo rockets

    I mained Scientist in WFC and had great fun with the class, however I feel that without the EMP Shotgun in this game they seriously lack power, neither the Assault Rifle, Orbital Pistol nor Gear Shredder properly matches my playstyle.

    Half of the Scientists I see are floating around firing rockets even though they're one shot per clip.
    They're not even boosting, just sitting there.

    Ow people are doing that again it was so annoying in DoTM and not hard annoying there just making it to easy

    The long pause before you can fire after transforming is a pain.

    The Destoryer's tank is really slow now so it's better to use that mode as extra firepower because the speed is almost if not identical to his sprint speed.

    It's not a firing pause, you're unable to switch weapons temporarily.
    I hope it's a glitch, but if you think about it, it kinda makes sense. Robot/vehicle transformation may be stressing on the T-Cog and it needs to cool down before you can use it to transform your arm.

    wish jets had 2 rockets per clip so they can compete with the rocket launchers

    No, they deserve at least 3. Seriously, every time I land one shot from the rocket launcher they instantly transform and drop (Doomed to get hit by melee).

    I don't really understand why scientists don't have that neutron assault rifle as an alt mode secondary. Never really played the WFC multiplayer so not sure if they did there, but this one rocket per clip shit is especially weak when it's the only weapon they have.

    in wfc, jets had 2 weapons in jet mode, unless you play multiplayer then its only missiles

    Why no machine guns in alt mode....


    I think I'd rather have them over 11 missiles, four of which it takes to put down another scientist, let alone another class!

    They did the two weapon thing in DotM almost everyone who played as a scientist would float in the air and use the machine guns we dont want this to happen in FOC

    So the answer is to nerf scientists to the point where they're near enough unarmed in alt mode? I have to say, I've yet to seen a scientist in FoC float in one place for long- they either fly on or get blown away by a titan- a class that's overpowered. The scrapmaker makes short work of everyone in just a few shots, has such spread and ammo capacity that it pretty much means a cloud of bullets when used, and a robot that takes such a pounding that teaming up on them is all you can do.


    The classes, imo, are not balanced.
