Ok, I was watching the movie Highlander (1986 film), and it hit me right there; "hey his voice has great potential for either a construction or the notorious Soundwave!!" But with so many decepticons to choose from, I can't decide. Jess Harnell voiced Barricade, and his voice was great in TF1, so maybe Brown has a good chance?!

Only person that can voice Soundwave is Frank Welker.

As anyone else, I don`t care...
Wait a Sec... who the hell is this guy?

And what`s with the Megatron thing. Where the heck was that pulled from? :lol

I love Clancy Brown's voice. It wouldn't even need much modulation in order to be a LAM TF voice. Excellent idea. Michael Bay, Bob Orci, and Alex Kurtzman, please take note: If Leonard Nimoy turns you down, ask Clancy Brown.

Starscreamer95, Clancy Brown played the Kurgan in Highlander and is pretty well known among sci-fi circles as the actor behind brother Justin in the excellent and prematurely cancelled Carnivale.

Not really. All anybody needs to do Soundwave's voice is just a really low pitched growling voice and a LOT of modulation. Shoot, I could do it if I could figure out how to use a vocoder.

While my first choice for Soundwave is Welker, I don't hate the idea of somebody else doing a great Soundwave. Brown could be excellent as a Decepticon. Especially if he uses some grit like he did in Starship Troopers.

I donno about him doing Soundwave, but he does have a good voice for a decepticon...Not sure who though.

Maybe a movie Cyclonus, perhaps? Seems like his voice could work for that character.

I was thinking Galvatron. I hope they do an IDW and have Megatron and Galvatron as seperate characters.

Clancy Brown would make a superb Decepticon. His VA work is superb - just go watch JLU & listen to his Lex Luthor. Superb. Or go watch Carnivale, and see just how menacing this guy would be as a human antagonist.

Yes I love his voice-over work. His Lex Luthor was excellent in DCAU. Last time I heard him was as Mr. Sinister in Wolverine and the X-men. And it was excellent.

Don't hold it against him. Though everyone should watch Carnivale and sooner rather than later.

He's Luthor, Mr. Krabs, Mr. Freeze from "The Batman", Mr. Sinister, Rhino, Ox, and Captain Stacey from Spectacular SPiderman.

I was hoping he would do Animated Cyclonus, because his voice is what I hear from the comics when reading them.

Wasn't he also in "Shawshank Redemption"?

Ah, Clancy Brown. He was wicked in Highlander, in that cheesy kind of way (at least when he was then present timeline, tracking McLeod). Yeah, he was in Shawshank Redemption. He was the nasty guard.

Oh, I would pay big money to her Clancy voice the Fallen and slip in a little Mr. Krabs.
