I thought it was really good. A great character story that made Tony a lot more sympathetic IMO.

The only thing that held it back from being truely awesome like the Illuminati Special was the order it was printed. If the "back-up" story with Cap in cell was put first, the whole thing would have flowed so much better, and made the last scene of the main story much more powerful.

Tony sits alone with a dead Captain America in the Shield Helicarrier, bursts into tears, and laments to Cap. He tells the corpse that the Civil War wasn't worth Cap dying for. I really liked the artist in this issue.

Should have thought of that before he hunted him down, backed him into a corner, and then gave him a show trial, shouldn't he? Twat.

I feel sorry for the writers on Ironman right now. They have the impossible task of trying to make Tony Stark look good despite what Civil War made of him. I can not wait for World War Hulk to come out. It should be very intresting to see how they handle Stark when the Hulk comes looking for some much deserved payback.

My only real problem was that, despite the art being awesome, I had trouble imagining him with the crying faces while saying some of the dialogue.

    Somewhat enjoyable though. ANOTHER SPOILER!!!

Tony tells Cap's corpse that he never got a chance to confide in him that "It wasn't worth it."

The flashback involves Cap berating Tony from his cell, while Tony stands there helmet-on and saying nothing. Cap's like "Was it worth it?! WAS IT WORTH IT?!" Tony just says "Well...you're a -sore- loser, Captain America." and walks off. Final panel is Cap saying "You bet."

So yeah, with that in mind, it adds some emotional impact to the end of the first part.

'Cause Tony's like "why were our final words so crass? I could have been frieeends!!" and stuff.

I'm sure they did, along with Cap #25 for an outrageous price.

    I'll pick one up eventually.

That's what I was trying to say. It would have flowed so much better if we got the question before the answer.
