Health Alert: Philadelphia Condom Campaign
sounds young,,, but its a problem that is a reality
Ugh, I remember that they made us use condoms on our fingers in sex ed, and I ended up staining my pants with the lubricant. That class turned me away from the idea of sex forever.
Reminds me of the South Park episode where the kids bought condoms and wore them all the time to protect themselves from STDs.
They didn't have bananas back then?!
Seems a wee bit young to be sexually active, but if that's what the kids are doing these days, then they should be prepared. Condoms are realistically the most effective way to prevent STDs, so I fully support this.
this is madness, they should give them magic virginity rings instead.
This wasn't too long ago; bananas were deemed "too racy".
But... they had you putting them on your fingers....
Fingers get used in sexual activities and bananas don't... Well, unless she's a freak.
I was happy to get Legos when I was 11. I've upgraded to transformers since then
I guess that's what they were aiming for.
And knowing is half the battle!
I tried to order some condoms, but apparently they don't give a fuck about Utah and it's residents.
Education really soaks in at that age. Maybe not a bad idea to let them absorb the info so it'll be burned into their mind by the time their 16.
i constantly have people ask to buy pregnacy test all the time at my work, most of the time the people are my age or younger....
yeah, this is a good thing
But that's only if the condoms are used "correctly" and consistently. Some people still manage to get STDs even when using condoms.
I think the most effective way is to show them one of those medical books that has pictures of what STDs look like and then ask the kids....."Do you want to look like this?"
11 yr olds! Pshh! thats nothing, They better start sooner. I was reading in the paper the other day, 2 8yr olds engaging in oral sex in a classroom closet. Made me wanna home school.
They should do what was done to me, my dad said " think twice before you stick your pecker in there" as he showed me pictures of junk with STDs. I was scared of the taco for a long time.
ya know what nvm
that can be taken out of context...
And yet, people will still bump uglies without them post "education," and at any age. You can give a child a condom, but if they lack any sort of basic smarts or feelings of personal responsability...I dunno, to me it's akin to giving them a gun, talking to them about how guns can hurt people - oh, and by the way, here's the bullets!
