**New update** pg 2: Optimus Prime City of Steel Alligatorcon....

After being totally inspired by Hippie Trooper's Alligatorcon - i'm attempting it myself!

I ordered myself a junker Skullcruncher and a KO Optimus headmaster, and sat patiently.

However when I received the bits and whatnot in the mail today and as you can see, I have a little issue......

    Yup that head is GIGANTIC!

    I think I've got a fix, it just won't be a normal headmaster :(

Plus, this is my first repaint/radicon so I would love to ask a question of those who have done so many customs...

How on earth do you remove the metal rods at the joints???

I know, i'm a noob. Please don't eat my face off for asking!

Thank you all for your patience :)

    Ebay:
I wouldn't remove the pins. You can, with a tool called a pin punch, available at a hardware store, but often it is more trouble than it's worth.

The first thing you need to do is prep the surfaces prior to paint. Clean the figure with soap and water or hobby paint thinner to remove the mold release chemical. Test with some paint and if it doesn't adhere, use a very fine (600 grit) sandpaper.

Check the resource section for more tips.

I got it from ebay here
Transformers Optimus Prime Head Master G1 Style | eBay

I got it totally by accident as I thought it was normal sized :dunce

They only have one left but its pretty good quality for a KO

I'm not sure (having never seen one in real life in my 28 years on earth wahhh)

I'd say its bigger than PM Primes head by a fair way

But if it helps here's a pic of it next to legends op...

That head doesn't transform though. Get the one from BBTS. You'll be glad you did.

I know it will be better but I haven't got the funds for it at the moment so this will have to do :(

Hopefully eventually I'll get one - but today is prime prime day haha!

    **NEW UPDATE**

Well after the paint curing I have had the chance to put all the pieces back together and see what prime actually looks like!

I am going to do a bit more detailing, and the tech spec chamber is going to have a little surprise inside it

Please please please some feedback would be great, I know it's not quite as accomplished as other radicons on here but I am very keen to learn!

let me know what you reckon
