I look at this re-release like I look at my annual iPod upgrade. I could wait a year and see if FP issues better versions of their stuff, but I would miss a year of enjoying the current product. Much like I sell my used iPod and put the money into the newest model each year, I will be doing the same here. I find no fault with FP this time around (unlike my anger over the PC fiasco). The add-on launcher kit is even able to go on both modes!

 

So I guess Fansproject will have new or renew stuff coming out every 3 months. Here goes the cash.

I love the new gun sadly i dont own a Magnus to put the armour on (I'm still kicking myself for now getting the first 2 pack when I seen it on sale)

 

I bought the add-on kit also, and plan to dye it black for Shadow Commander. It should be in white, so theoretically it can be dyed any color!

I just need the add on kit because I already have the CC armor from the first go round. I know a lot of people are happy about this seeing as how the price more than doubled in the past few months in the aftermarket, FP would be foolish to not cash in.

Given FPr's track record, I'm going to wait for the Shadow Commmander add-on kit instead of buying two.

 

I thought about that, but for $12 figured why risk it.

I will say just leave shadow commander alone with its sword. It doesn't need anything more than that.
DIA is some mass produced clone. Just leave it with basic equipment and the world will be happy.

 

I think I'll hold onto my overpriced pre-order for the iGear upgrade to go with my original CC, and partner this new CC release with the new FP add-on for it.

Now to decide on what to do for getting launchers on Shadow Commander...

 

The only thing that bothers me with my D.I.A. Commander is that the left shoulder armour doesn't clip on tightly like the right does. The right side clicks into place, whereas the left side clips on OK, but doesn't make the "click" and tends to jiggle around slightly.

Also, most of the hinged areas are a bit loose. But since they all peg onto something for transformation, you only notice it when you're mid-transformation.

D.I.A. Commander is the only one I own, so I can't compare it to the earlier releases, but it doesn't seem to me that there is any big mold degradation going on. The very minor issues I had feel more like the result of it being a third-party product, although still a very high quality third-party product.
