Has anyone here been to a Cirque Du Soleil show? If so do you like it?

I went to one of it's shows Alegria around 2004 and it was an amazing experence! :)

It was certainly a far cry from Rinaling bros and Bailey shows by a mile. Since then I've watched some of it's DVDs and I hope to see another one live again soon.

What are your thoughts? I hope this is the right place to put something like this in. If not can anyone move it to a place that's more suited?

Meh. I never even liked the circus as a kid. Last time we went, my brother and I embarrassed my mom by begging her to get us out of there because we were bored to death.

I have seen one of their shows and yes it is great and beautiful. SOmetimes their shows can be a bit too "artistic" for me, you start to wonder wht the hell you are seeing. I like a couple of their Vegas shows (I've only seen it on video NOT live), where they had the battle on the wall vertical to the stage, or the one where it all revolves around the pool in the center of the stage.
Otherwise their shows tend to be a bit of the same things.
I like the ones that tell stories.
