Seriously, how did the caption people get this wrong?
Because people working on the subtitles are doing it because it's their job, not because they are TF fans. They probably get information on main character names, but that's about it. It's pretty hilarious though!
I have a dvd of a live concert, and 99% of the subtitled lyrics are wrong. This is an official dvd of a well known band, mind you.
Don't we have a user here named Chugway?
...we've been infiltrated >.>
No doubt the fella joined after seeing that picture as an unregistered guest.
Heehee, makes me giggle once in a while.

I believe Chugway had that as a signature at one point or other.
It's one of those hilarious accidental mishaps that can come from mishearing something.
I have an Aunt who uses the dictation software in the medical field and I believe the TV programs probably use something similar and if their "fact checkers" aren't fans and know the character lists, then they're not going to pick up on a boo-boo like this one, I cracked up the first time I saw it and just chalked it up the Meggie's voice being such a deep one, the software just went with "Chugway" not Shockwave-durrrrrrr....
This is nothing, compared to some of the errors you get once you throw language translation into the mix.
That's perfectly spot on compared to these atrocities.
How come we don't have an emoticon of the yellow round thing rolling back and forth laughing for instances such as this?
I don't know what a "chugway" is but it sounds hilarious. Thanks for the screencap. I needed that laugh.
I didn't think the TFA DVD releases were subtitled. What's this from -- TV broadcast in Japan?
I suppose if you say "Shockwave" really fast and slur your diction, it does sound a little like "Chugway." Still, I would think even a moron would get that one right.
