So, for some reason I like Quake. I like Needlenose too, but I like Quake quite a bit. Don't care about Spinister, but I like those two. If anyone suggests a good Needlenose repaint that would be a cool bonus, but for now: QUAKE!

Obviously I want to repaint him that maroon/gray/purple kind of style he had in G1, and from a tank. I got the following choices to use, for the mold to repaint from, who would you take:

    Armada Demolishor
    Classics Megatron 2-pack deluxe
    Warpath
    Straxus/Darkmount
    Galvatron

    Who would you use?

Bonus: You will be suprised how many details Cybertron Soundwave has in common with Needlenose.

Just repurpose the ROTF Bruticus "Blast Off" tank. It's already colored like Quake, Reprolabels has a sticker set for a conversion, and it's a cool little mold with two guns built right in.

Demonlishor's powerlinx colorscheme matches up pretty close with Quake, just adding silver to the arms and chest plate, plus a dab of blue in the middle of the chest, bam, Quake.

Of the options presented I voted for Deluxe Megs, but Quake really needs a new mold that he can split with another tank-based character. I really like Quake too (owning the G1 toy as a kid helps), so I'd be very interested in a Classics Quake toy coming out.

retooled Warpath with Straxus technology; the main barrel would be removable from his chest in robot mode.

While possible, I have abolustely, positively, no interest in the Energon combiners. The rest of the toyline is great, but I hate their 'biners.

That's pretty good, actually. I have a spare regular Dem, never got a PLinx Dem to see the similarities.

I forgot that option. I DO have the 'GI Joe Tank' Megatron too, and he does look pretty good. I was hoping for something a bit more moderny and stuff.

I'm also going to have 2 spare Thunderwings, and a Needlenose from one will be pretty much mandatory for me. ;)

I think Classics Silverbolt would make a nice Needlenose.

Personally, from your suggestions, I think Galvatron is probably the best of a bad lot for Quake.
