Which is more 'First Aid' to you? Ratchet from Prime, or Red Alert, the deluxe, of Cybertron? On your 'Classics/Universe/Generations' shelf, who fits with the other Protectobots you got?

Picture reference, for those that don't own both:

    Autobot Ratchet (2012) - Autobot - www.tfu.info

If you select 'Other' on the poll, please state the choice, and if you can provide a link to the actual toy, that would be great.

Neither really. I guess Ratchet might work as First Aid, so I'll go with him

Strictly of those two, Ratchet. But I'll need more time to sit and think of another.

Red Alert fits the Classics aesthetic better than Ratchet.

That's the figure I have in my custom Protectobots line-up as well. Cyb. Leader Optimus for Hot Spot, Cyb. Red Alert for First Aid, Blades for Blades, Lugnutz for Groove, and Crosswise for Streetwise.

Definatly Red Alert, Cybertron fits pretty well with Classics imo, he is my classics First Aid.
I have many Cybertron molds with my classics.

Prime Ratchet is a pretty cool toy. But the Prime toys don't fit in with classics at all (not as bad a fit as animated toys are, but bad enough). That is what I think at least.

My First Aid was (toy stolen, making a new one) Generations Ratchet with a new head that I'd sculpted for him, parts swapped with a lot of parts from GenIronhide to get his color-scheme right.
The Generations ratch/Hide toy never looked right for the chara they were supposed to be for me. to short and the like. But it was just right for boxy First Aid... especially as I'd planned on having the Protectos be deluxe to voyager class toys (Evac's Blades is awesome)
The other toys are alright, but didn't hit that 'First Aid' note for me^^

Awhile back there was some canceled design plans from TFCC to make First Aid from the Cybertron Red Alert figure. I was looking for it recently but can't find it now.

Never really thought of it. I use TFP Ratchet as Classics, so I think Cybergtron Red Alert would work very well as First Aide.

While I appreciate you really wanting a representation of First Aid, I can't say I think any modern toy thus far released really works for it.

Out of those two, Red Alert. Mostly because I think he's shorter, and First Aid was relatively short, being a combiner limb. I don't think there's really a better figure either.

Neither. I don't like shoehorning stuff in. Waiting for a real combining First Aid. If I had to absolutely choose one, Cybertron Red Alert.

It's nice to see there's several other Protectobot lovers out there. :)

I was thinking of the movie Rescue Ratchet, but never got it, so couldn't really compare it to the competition properly.

And I agree that Cybertron goes right alongside Classics. But, I quite liked that line, so may be a bit partial. That and the real RiD line go great w/Classics. I was thinking one of the X-brawns (the TFU Ratchet from '03), but the one hand thing and giant backsaw hand doesn't scream medic, much less First Aid.

Were you looking to check the thing I mentioned? its kinda tough to notice, and to get full effect you need to see him at a few different angles. The similarities are there though.

Fast Aid, actually, but close enough. I'm probably going with Cyb Red, since I love that toy a lot. Though Prime Ratchet does have a nice colorscheme for FA.
