Time for some Dr. Wu reviews!
Dr. Wu Waken Hammer is a pretty simple yet nice accesory. Not really perfect though since the hammer pieces can be separated way too easy and need to be put in a pretty precise position to fit. However, I do dig it and the dark yellow colour is good enough to go with my Botcon Kickoff and fits with his classic gladiator characterization and Wreckers status I'm giving him for my display. Those wrist swivels needed to be used!
But the real question is, can it be stored?
Yes, it can! Mind you, is not perfect storage and doesn't work at all in vehicle mode but hey, is something.
And I just don't get tired of Dr. Wu Double Pole Swords and the silver ones suit nicely into Reveal The Shield Fallback due that the kibble on his hips always gave him some sort of samurai look and it would be a shame to let those wrist swivels waste.
But, CAN THEY BE STORED?!
... Yeaaaaah? Is not a really secure way to store those swords and in fact a more secure way is to put them between the gun storage from his back kibble (but then you lose the use of his guns) but hey, is something.
Solid purchases but I wish that Dr. Wu would create accesories with more flexibility about how to put them.
I had to do it. One more day just me and my daughter and we had to do it. All of Hasbro's Titans Return with all of Takara's Legends equivalents up to Godbomber - and thanks to LG 43, 44, 45 and 46 coming out now, it's not a completely up to date picture of the lines as of right now.
All the best
Ey, I'm lovin your pics of my rent
Got all my Thrilling 30 out this weekend. Well nearly all..(where's Cosmos? On the floor upstairs, apparently.
I really, really enjoyed this line. While sure, there were some duds (Alright Blitzwing?) most of it was fucking amazing. First Titan. First Leader class. Introduction of Legends class for your good old fashioned minibots. A super IDW accurate Skids and Springer. SPRINGER! Whirl! A bunch of incredibly fucking good Beast Wars characters!
As much as I have really loved the Prime Wars trilogy (and I kind of consider T:30 a kind of prologue to Prime Wars), I kind of miss the random hodge podge of Thrilling 30. I'm not sure we'll see such diversity in a line again, but one can hope!
Nice Barrington, nice. Favourite figure from the line?
Shit man. I'm picking two, coz I'm a coward. Springer and Swerve.
I've wanted a Roadbuster for years. So for me he was the one I was most looking forward to
Roadbuster and Whirl both for me. Now I get them within four days of eachother. They're both putting poor Broadside to shame in the line up. Hopefully the nonnef upgrades will do him some favors in that respect. I have at least 20 CHUG figures I want to add to this group.
Me too, but at the same time I feel he could have been a lot better with just a little more. Springer had so much going on and then, I know he is kind of a plain design, but, roadbuster got the short end of the stick.
So while I had them all out I thought I'd take a few shots of some of the T:30 figures I didn't cover in my rambling comparison reviews. There were some, in my opinion, great wee molds.
Saying that, these were the first generations figures I ever got and I was kind of stunned by how small these deluxes were. CW and TR seemed a bit more substantial.
Orion Pax was definitely a figure that seemed...kind of tiny! I hd to squint to see his head. And that's a pity because it really is a handsome, wonderful little figure.
Different breed of leaders
Man I would love to find one of those Springers
Usually see a few for decent prices in the B/S/T threads. Just don't buy them all before I get to one
They're fucking fantastic. Sandstorm too.
