Wreck 'n' Rule!
Some Whirl love, nice !
I do enjoy very much this fella.
Thanks! I'm surprised it took me this long to post some pics of him.
Haha, happens to me a lot that feeling with some toys.
Let's say you were waiting for the right time.
The right time took three years, LOL! Sometimes it feels like I take a ton of pics of some toys, and then hardly any of others.
Hell yeah! Time to celebrate some Car Robots goodness!
Robots in Disguise was basically yet another return to the franchise for me in 2001 so I obviously needed this particular set. I used to have the original Ruination set and although my fondest memories come from the toy-decos, one have to admit that the show-accurate look is really appealing.
The vehicles are amazing looking. I would dare to say that there are even more visually interesting than the Takara Combaticons not only because of the overall look but also because they're more cohesive in their paint.
And the robot modes are even better. I'm particularly a fan of how Rollbar/Greejeeber looks, his metallic green visor is stunning. Mega-Octane/Dolrailer is another favorite since he wears the green tone really well. In fact, I love the looks of pretty much everyone here. The problem is that there are not really any improvements in their designs so the same flaws from the Blast Off and Brawl's moulds are found here as well. I do appreciate that they included the weapons from the UW Computron set since they strangely fit this team nicely, is almost like they thought about how they would suit the Commandos first before even making the weapons.
Ruination/Baldigus looks incredible. The touches of gold really make this an imposing piece in a collection while the combination of weapons really brings it to life.
The obvious comparison is here. I really like how UW Bruticus looks but UW Baldigus is without a doubt the better looking figure. Again, the deco makes a world of difference and the extra weapons fix the issues I had with Bruticus. Not to mention that the new feet and hands really help to differentiate both combiners. Unfortunately, the balance issues of the combined mode are still here due to the problems with the Onslaught mould.
As a whole, I'm really satisfied with this set. It looks so good both individually and in combined mode that is hard to decide which way I'm going to display it. Now just to wait for Legends Black Convoy.
Oh, and obligatory bonus once again:
Sky-Byte is so pure.
Laser prime from Chaos on Velocitron is my #Deskbot today.
Also how astonishing is Rob Roberts' custom Ironhide from Kup?
All the best
Now THAT I would buy. I just don't have the interest in replacing GenerationsplusCygar because it's my preferred representation of Kup. But it's nice that the figure could make a badass Ironhide.
I'll do some Quickswitching in here too.
All the best
Drift time at work!
Got a Unite Warriors Trailbreaker today to replace my Takara Generations Trailbreaker with X2 kit.
I think it's an improvement? For every thing the UW version does better (the head especially, and the deco for the legs is very nice), the TG version does something else better (hood of truck for the chest, forcefield thingy behind his head). At least he's taller! I hate how short the T30/TG version is.
Let's go Laser Prime tonight!
All the best
Naturally Starscream had already fled...
Updated my complete pic reference for Titans Return so far with Chaos on Velocitron figures (all modes) here!
Square One: Transformers Titans Return - Wave 1 to 4
All the best
