Did Brainstorm and Chromedome get over-energized before the big photo shoot?
See, I'm totally the reverse. I like the toon-accurate features of CW Trailbreaker, but the lack of a hood chest and a proper forcefield generator kills it for me. The Takara version of the T30 figure with the X2 Toys add-ons, a blue visor and some black paint on his face feels like a true Classics update of the character for me. If only the foot add-ons had ever been released!
Meanwhile, I like the Tracks mold, but as Wheeljack it just doesn't work - the reversed legs are too wide, his chest is too rectangular, and for whatever reason they made his legs shorter, making him look even stumpier and wider. The CW figure may have some unused kibble, and again, may need an add-on and paint to complete the look, but as a figure he seems more like the athletic Wheeljack I know and love.
I agree.,, and he was a bitch to find at retail. I almost gave up
I like CHUG Wheelejack better than CW Wheeljack. :/
My wheeljack is the prime one
I really hate those moments when I think something is properly transformed, take lots of pictures, and then noticed something is off during the review of the pictures.
Classics Wheeljack camp here
I've got the Unite Warriors version too and while its deco is a lot more toon and appealing to me, a shoehorned combiner gimmick body isn't my preferred Wheeljack and ultimately among the reasons I went on to track down most of all my Autobot in their Classics versions.
(Wow... I just realized Takara painted UW Wheeljack's inside of his back grey just to keep it from being even more unpainted white unlike you-know-who)
Pretty satisfied with the Tracks/Wheeljack mold. I only wished a Road Rage was available that wasn't tied down to an overpriced BotCon set. If there's one thing I don't like about the Classics Wheeljack... just like Jazz, it's the dead-eyes syndrome thanks to that useless light piping.
Spare black and off-white CW guns find some new owners
That set is not available in Oz, but I stumbled on that one for sale one week by accident on ebay while browsing other items. A very happy find, as he cost $10 AUD less than a normal retail price leader in this country.
I think the seller must have got at least $300 USD in return for the full set, as he sold every item individually, even the instruction book!
On the one hand, I hate ebay scalpers. On the other hand, it was my only option to get this toy so im grateful I could get it at all as its one of my favs from the whole TR line.
So do I.
Ya the CW one just doesn't do anything for me, the Breakdown mold was the weakest of the Stunticons and is just too Breakdown to be anyone else.
@Large Your pics never fail to entertain.
I just like wheels.
Your welcome pal. But one question, why is Kup in a bowl of mac and cheese.
Ha! That is indeed a very good question my friend. A real sense of observation.
Here's the whole story:
"So that's it ? THAT is your longevity's secret old man ? A LITTERAL noodles bath ?
- You young lads know nothing. It's a very ancient tradition I discovered far east of the galaxy when I wa...
- Brainstorm ? Science us here dude.
- I've... I've got nothing."
