I really like your collection. What's your story? Why display it the way you did-- 2 Optimus Prime groups, 2 Megatron groups, etc.?

Sorry for the late response. I was getting everything in my place set for Hurricane Irma, then evacuated. Luckily I still have power and minor water damage. I have them broken down by G1 seasons. The first case is pre season 1 Cybertron. I had extras so that was the only thing I could think of.

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear about Irma. I hope things recover well down there.

You have a cool collection, it mirrors a lot of what I want to do with my own.

Thanks. My area has a lot of trees down, but never lost power. The west coast of the state got hit bad.
It has taken me a long time to get the my collection to this point. It has been so long that my wife has warmed up to my addiction.

Lol it took my girlfriend a while to get used to my collection too. It really caught her by surprise since, for the most part, I'm a minimalist. I don't own much, but that's not to say I'm broke. I just don't see the need for more than 10 t-shirts or 2 pairs of shoes, know what I mean? She and I don't collect anything; we don't collect movies, games, books, mail, etc. Our home has all the basic furnishings and then suddenly there's this collection of Transformers.

I'm not sure if it's the colors of the figures, the sense of a story, or the feeling of nostalgia, but we like it. A lot of people when they see it, it's like watching a visitor in a museum. They have a moment of wonderment that takes them back to their past.

I get that feeling just by checking out your collection too.

It's definitely all of them. Whenever people come over they bring up different episodes they loved. Theye say looking at them put the stories back in their heads.

Great setup. I have those displays in my cart on IKEA's website. Just haven't pulled the trigger yet because of the shipping cost. I can't find anything better though. Great looking collection

Thank you. It has taken a while, and cost a lot, but it has been worth it. Once I got those display cases, my wife finally warmed up to it. For some reason it looks better behind glass than on a bookshelf.
I wasn't a big fan of those cases at first, not very wide, but after a lot of rearranging I had finally figured out the best way to display them.
