I just want to throw in my two bits and say I can't wait. I also would like to say that I wish it was for a console, but whatever I can get.

Guess I bought my DS just in time. The load times never bothered me on the PS version. 3 seconds are nothing to get worked up over it, but pulling out my SNES to play it again is, so now I have another version to play this amazing game, and dance the night away with cave people.

I've somewhat fallen out of RPGs in the last few years due to lack of time, but this is definitely one I will buy when it is released.

Dude, I had that same thought the other day. And it made me sad. RPGS have always been my favorite genre, and since I just got a DS, I started looking at all the RPGS that I have missed. I started to look through them and then thought, "Do I even have time to play these?" I still haven't beat Mass Effect, and I'm thinking of diving into new ones.

This is where my appreciation for the "often criticized" shorter games of this generation comes from. I really have no problem with Mass Effect being 20-30 hours. I simply can't play more. Or games like Oblivion, with a huge world, but the ability to sit through and do a quick quest (some of them with really cool stories). The days of 100+ hours to beat an RPG are gone for me... The last one was Dragon Quest and FF12. I hope I can devote time to FF13.

I loved that game when I played it on SNES. I got pretty far into it even though it was just a rental. I finally got to play it on the PS1, and totally loved it. It is one of the best 16 bit RPGs, and I am glad it is going to be rereleased.

Finally, something in the game world for me to be excited about.

Even though I already have both previous releases of this game, I would buy it again in a heartbeat, just to try to get Square to make a decent sequel.

So it is a remake? Remake, sequel, prequel, cereal, underwear, I don't care, so long as it's Chrono Trigger or Cross related.

I wouldn't want anyone else to give me that news. Coming from someone whos name is Chrono is cool enough.

that sounds really awesome. I did get the DS just in time.

I'm pretty damned psyched. Hopefully sales will be good enough to get us a sequel.

I was disappointed with Chrono Cross, but looking up Wikipedia I may have given up on it too soon as it appears to tie into Trigger a lot better than I realized.

    Sold!

Now just give me a portable Super Mario RPG and I can forever stop interacting with the public when I'm forced to leave the house :)

Mario & Luigi: babies in time or whatever was a pretty quality RPG.

I have heard that. I do own Mario & Luigi:SS for GBA and I know they are along the same lines. Still no RGP style Mario game has ever quite rocked my socks as much as the original SM:RPG.

I'm one of the few (I think) that loved, more than loved, Chorno Cross. Serge was a cool main character and Kid was an excellent side kick, and for the first time in any JRPG that I have every played, she offers to join your party and unlike any other game, when you tell the character NO and they still join you (thus it's pointless to even ask the question), Kid will leave if you tell her no, enough, and your main partner will be Serge's girlfriend from town. Kid will still play a role in the story, but from the sidelines, instead of Serge's partner. The game had SO many possibilities and characters up the WAzzup, and such a serene Soundtrack. I have VERY fond memories of that game.
