it's coming. I want it.
I had heard a rumor about this and didn't believe it, but holy wow it's real.
AH-FREAKIN-SOME....cant wait...one of the best games on the SNES by Sqaure.
hopefully this will lead to my other titles i rally want to see - Secret of Mana and Secret of Evermore.
So anyway, can't wait until we get more info about this.
Oh HELL yes! Favorite game of all time and one that never gets enough love!
Anyone know anything about it? Whether it's a straight port or will it get the remake treatment of the recent FF games?
Is it a 3d remake?
No one knows anything about it yet, all that's been announced was there's going to be Chrono Trigger on the DS in Jump magazine, and then that countdown.
I found an article that said the one screen provided showed it in 2D, but it didn't say whether that was example or it showed it in dual screen format. Have to wait for a better source I guess.
I can beat the game again with just Crono and the mop all over again. I wonder if some of the added features may incude parts of Radical Dreamers or something to help with the confusing events of Chrono Cross (ive beaten that game alot and prolly will bust out my PS1 this week to play it again)
Oh my goodness..... That is like, the best gaming news I've heard all week. Chrono Trigger was such an amazing game, but I just couldn't stand the loading times on the PS1 version and I never had the SNES version.
i would like to see a remake of this ala FFIII...
hence why i never got rid of my SNES copy. Heh... 2 out of 3 savefiles are all maxed out on levels (Marel is the only one with a stat less than **, its a stat you cant raise without leveling too)
Now that I think of it, it would be interesting if this is why they shut down that 3d fan remake, because they were busy on their own. Or just stole the idea.
Oh hell yes! Between this and that Suikoden VI PSP rumor I'm set for RPGs without resorting to next gen
The Suikoden rumor has swiftly been debunked. Hopefully there will be something tangible at E3 though.
I'm hoping for a pimped up port. Chrono Trigger was already such a masterpiece of 2D gaming that going 3D would only damage the experience. Now if it includes a little anime FMV like the PS1 port that would be awesome.
If tradition holds the games Square ports usually get upgrades, new areas and such. It would be really cool if they made some of those rumors from back in the day real, like Schala being playable, but any addition is good, long as there's even more Chrono Trigger to play through.
This game will never leave my side.
