Meanwhile in Japan, $250 or so will get you a Softbank 815T Phone Braver mobile phone, which talks to you, has a huge vocabulary, transforms, has a camera, a barcode reader, and is a working mobile phone.
Try harder, Takara. Try a LOT harder.

The price point on this baffles me. A) why does it cost this much?; and B) who is going to buy it?

I can see it going for $30, maybe. I must be missing something. . .

That watch is utter insanity on most fronts. Why the hell does anyone need a sexed up 80s flea market watch for $300?

Even $100 would make more sense--but not much more.

    Ebay:
How much?! That's gotta be a mistake.

For a cross between a kronoform and a tamagotchi? With slightly better articulation?

So it's confirmed the technology isn't anywhere close to being worth $300...that must mean there are precious metals and jewels involved. Or perhaps there is a one-time gimmick where you plug it into an ATM machine and it spits out $250.

Now I'm just hoping someone will buy one, break the electronics and throw it on Ebay for cheaps so I can buy it.

But... but... the robot mode for Phone Braver is UNIMAGINATIVE! The $5 Real Gear was much better! Epic fail!!! :D

I have been trying since this came out to import it! IT IS IMPOSSIBLE!
Do you know how I can import it?

On topic, well, basically the post I quoted is what I have to say.

HAHAHAHA Nice try at relating to an earlier post in order to try and make me look bad. Unfortunately, humour and sarcasm don't really suit you, since you're really not very good at them. Also, your point is utterly negated by EVERYTHING.
-The Real gear wasn't an actual phone. Seven is. He's also a VERY well featured phone.
-Phone Braver 815T PB | SoftBank
There is more character shown in the photo on that page than the Chrono Label watch has the capacity to EVER show.
-Phone Braver has its own TV show, and it is a VERY good one. The phone reflects this; it talks to you in Seven's voice, and has a huge vocabulary that can be used to put sentences together that it will then learn. It's like actually having Seven yourself.
-The imagination shown in the electronic side of the actual Seven phone itself is WAY more than this Chrono Label thing.
You want Epic Fail, read your own post. :)
Mumps: I don't know m8. I'm even thinking pf trying to get someone going to Botcon from Japan to try and pick me one up (depending on how much money I will have, of course).

Draven... you're taking things wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too seriously. Seriously. Remember... TOYS... TOYS... TOYS... they are... toys.

    EDIT: Reading the description...

"Attach the included parts*1 to complete the transformation. When assembled, Phone Braver figure has 30 unique points of articulation for infinite posing possibilities."

So arms and legs are not even part of the phone?

You can take off the robot parts from the phone to make it a normal sized phone. The Phone Braver with robot parts is very bulky. But without the robot parts is just the standard Toshiba 815T. So, it's very convenient to be able to switch between epic robot phone to a nice slim compact flip phone.

EDIT: Thanks Draven. I may have to take that same route in getting the phone. But until then, I will have to continue to stalk ebay looking for it, hoping one pops up.

Is there a picture of Phone Braver in phone mode with all the parts still on?
