My three movie Primes are getting the chrome treatment. FAB and Voyager were Krylon chrome spray paint. Leader is metal leaf and then Krylon on the hubcaps. Leader is obviously not done yet. :D  I will try the local hardware store to see if I can get metal tubes the same diameter as his cheesy rubber stacks.

man that just flat out changes those toys. I would be afraid to put foil on the front-end of leader prime, cause I'd never want to transform him and have him standing on it. I've got some extremely high luster chrome silver spray paint though that would look awesome enough. good job bro.

Yeah... As you can see that leaf is getting pretty shredded... I may just leaf the vertical bars and spray chrome the boarder of the grill.

Leaf on the gas tanks for sure though.

At walmart, I've seen this really chromoish type color silver and gold..Is that what you're using, because it looks amazing!! I'd pick that up and use that too..I just didn't want to go the typical silver..That chrome silver on the voyager front grill is just so nice, very flat, all one tone etc..That's what I want!

The can I'm using says "Krylon Original Chrome". It's a very tall can.

The paint itself behaves a little odd... If you don't shake the hell out of the can for litterally 2 minutes it just doesn't work right. But shake it like a Polaroid and the end results are fantastic.

Metal Leaf! Must be a pain to use. (Yes I know it's thinner than foil)

Leader Prime is one of the only movie I've picked up so far, and despite thinking it's a GREAT toy, the first thing that just screamed out to me is how much this guy needs some chrome. Also, Animattronic's Scourge custom really confirmed it for me as well as inspiring me to pick up another Prime to potentially replicate his cool piece :thumb

Cheebs, this is another great work of yours and it just further fuels me wanting my leader Prime chromed at least in some way! I honestly feel that a custom reaches a certain level of "cool" status when another person says "oh man, I want one of those too!" Again, very nice work!

Here's another thought for leader class. In the model master paint line, they make/made (not sure if it's still around, haven't looked in a while) a series called metalizers (i think). They are metallic paints that you can buff like metal. Fantastic results. We used to use them to immitate polished aluminum on car models.
